    BF% and steroids

Whats does BF% have to do with streroids? Does it have to do with heart health or just cosmetics? Just curious on why people ask BF%...

The higher the bf% 15-16% above the more likely you are to being prone to sides like Gyno

Also most people think that steriods are a magic pill. There 20%+ and expect that by taking steriods they will get ripped and hard. Those people need to get there bf% under control before using steriods. Because the reason there body isn't in shape is not because of steriods but because of there diet

It has mostly got to do with estrogenic side effects while taking testosterone which is the base of all cycles. The more bodyfat someone has, the more the testosterone will convert into estrogen. That's why we recommend being sub 15% which will also display that you can train/diet hard enough to consider using aas.

Go buy some calipers. You can get some for pretty cheap. Then go to the members pictures forum and one of the first stickies you see (I think it may have been fireguy) is a thread about how to do a body composition test or something like that. It'll walk you through the process of finding out your bodyfat using calipers which is one of the best ways to do it, unless you wanta pay to go to the BODPOD (or something like that)

To get a rough idea, have a look in the picture section where people ask for a bf% estimate and compare yourself to them.

    yeap because bodyfat creates aromatase

I don't use gear, but seems like I remember reading that aas raises your BP. The higher bodyfat you have the more likely you are to already have a higher BP....raising that BP even further could cause some serious issues.

When you have a high bf % it increases the conversion factor of testosterone to estrogen, this will increase the sides related to high estrogen. You can also be more likely to higher water retention sides and increased BP when you have a higher BF %. Fat cell receptors have more of an affinity to aromatising so if you have more fat cells than you have more of a chance estrogen related sides.
