Swifto- question on past thread
Swifto- I have been following the forum for a while, i recently joined.
i have a question regarding a past thread, was some time ago. The article was about being on cycle and taking some type of opiate blocker to keep from shutting down, ie, subutex, suboxone.
i am sure thats the chemical referenced, can u point me to that thread/article as i am very interested.
if im wrong, please just disregard as i can not PM yet so had to use open board.
Thanks in advance

If this is true I'd also be interested in seeing this as it goes against everything else I've ever read on the subject and also just done a quick search there and couldnt find any studys on the subject . . . . . . . . .

I don't know what specific thread you're looking for but you've got to be talking about naltrexone?

Actually I've only ever read that it MAY be effective but the risks/reward ratio is unfavourable, dont know anybody or seen any threads on boards on people using it
Does anybody know of anyone actually using it in place or conjunction with HCG ?

Very interesting thanks, Ive been wasting time looking on other boards when the info is here, as usual lol
So he reckons he could of possibly gotten away with naltrexone and HCG without any PCT? wish he had of made the second log doing it, but I'm still skeptical
Better keep looking but Swifto (if your around), I just read in one of your PCT threads that you planned running naltrexone a couple years ago, 08/09 did you run it?Last edited by DanB; 02-08-2012 at 05:49 PM.

What exactly are you looking to get out of naltrexone?
I don't know much about Naltrexone but suboxone (buprenorphine) is the devil..... and it's use should be limited to only the most severe cases of heroin addiction IMO. Suboxone has become an overwhelming problem in america and the government is just now starting to crack down on the doctors prescribing it. I'm not going to go into depth right now on how this drug came to rise so fast..... i'll just assume for now you mean naltrexone hah.
Eve then..... naltrexone is used to treat alcoholism and it affects certain pathways in the brain..... I can't see how this would apply to bodybuilding in any "good" way.....

I just read the part about it not "shutting you down" - if there is any scientific proof that it works for that then you'd still be a complete fvcking moron to take those drugs for that purpose. Why take a drug that can give you a severe addiction when you can take HCG on cycle and recover damned fast after?
Doesn't make any sense.....

Is he talking about swifto's AI OCT Thread a few weeks back?

Haz, I'm going to assume that he meant Naloxone (Narcan), which is an opiate receptor antagonist. Soboxone is a combination of buprenorphine (an opioid) and Naloxone. I guess they threw the naloxone in there to make it milder.

I don't know how effective Naltrexone and an GnRH agonist, such as Triptorelin Acete is at maintaining endogenous GnRH/LH/FSH/Test.
Seeing as Naltrexone can bring some real nasty side effects in user's and the hypothalamus and pituitary aren't really the big problem when trying to restore natural androgens post cycle, I think HCG or HMG are better choices.
That said, I dont have any experience with Nal/Trip but it may be a good addition on cycle, or during the strart of PCT.

Swifto is like the Batman of AAS. He swoops in and answers your question, and then quietly slips away until needed or called upon..
