    Clen: anti-catabolic effects?

Hey guys. First off, I apologise for another clen thread.

I am strongly considering starting a clen cycle in a few months and I am curious as to whether clen actually contains any any-catabolic properties. After doing some research I found no real consensus, many say it does have anti-catabolic properties, many say it doesn't and some even say it has anabolic properties. I can lose weight quite easily but I am concerned too much of it may be muscle. When I do cut my deficit is 500 calories, high protein, high fat and low carb. My carbs anywhere from 100 on rest days to 200 on training days.

I'm only 22 so I am not even considering a test/winny cycle to help me cut and preserve.

Anyone have any experiences or scientific studies on the matter?

    Thanks in advance

It can but at really high doses, like 1g but at the doses you will take it will be a fat burner.

it seems to me, it does have anti-catabolic features, at least if you're natty. i've used clen to cut, and lost next to no muscle and a lot of fat. i was on 160mcg/day with ketotifen 2mg/day for 6 weeks.

I hope you arent saying to take clen at 1g per day as this is downright dangerous

LOL I think you would have a heart attack and die at that dose...

OP, Clenbuterol has protein-sparing properties, so yes..... Anticatabolic

Clenbuterol, a beta-adrenoceptor agonist, increases relative muscle strength in orthopaedic patients.

Maltin CA, Delday MI, Watson JS, Heys SD, Nevison IM, Ritchie IK, Gibson PH
Rowett Research Institute, Bucksburn, Aberdeen, U.K.

    1. The sympathomimetic agent clenbuterol has a muscle-specific anabolic effect in normal and wasted muscles from animals. This trial was designed to examine the effect of the drug on the recovery of muscle strength and area after open medial meniscectomy. 2. A double-blind, completely randomized, placebo-controlled study was carried out on 20 healthy male patients. Muscle strength and cross-sectional area were determined before and after surgery. Patients were treated with drug or placebo for 4 weeks postoperatively and there was a 2 week washout period. 3. The results suggest that, in the operated leg, clenbuterol treatment is associated with a more rapid rehabilitation of strength in knee extensor muscles; in the unoperated leg, knee extensor strength increased above the initial values after 6 weeks (P = 0.01). However, in terms of absolute strength the differences were not significant between the two groups. 4. It is concluded that the data lend support to the proposition that clenbuterol has therapeutic potential in the treatment of muscle-wasting conditions.

Clen and other beta-2-agonists are anabolic in human skeletal muscle, yes. So, technically, they're "anti-catabolic".

If you want data, let me know...

I would never suggest using 1g of CLENBUTEROL ,,,thats major trouble there. I feel the anti catabolic effect is real and
I like it best after a PCT from a cycle at 60-80mcg..for all out fat burning I go up to 100-120mcg daily.

So maintain caloric intake and the light dose of clen helps maintain cycle gains? Or does it lean you out a little too?

Thanks for the responses guys, I appreciate it a lot. In my research I did come across people mentioning studies conducted on horses that showed evidence of muscle retention while using clen , however the dosages were anywhere from 500mcg-1500mcg. As a human who would like to live, I wont be going anywhere near those dosages lol. I am planning to do the 2 week on 2 week off style, scaling up to 120mcg max.
