Infected. What type of antis do I get
I got some gear. Did my first shot in my quad. 1 ml of test e. Day later it hurt. 2 days later I could hardly walk. Day 3 it is warm to touch, swollen and hurts.
What do you recommend besides going to doc for anits?
I read posts saying stick a pin in the same spot and suck some of the stuff out. Is that safe aggitating the muscle more after it is infected?
What type of antis do I get? Can I just order from online?

I had the same problem about 3 weeks ago. I'm at the office now but I'll check to see what my doc gave to me when I get to the house. Either way you need to go to the Dr asap. It only gets worse and takes longer to heal fully. Also, if not addressed you run the risk of the infection getting into your blood. If you feel you can't trust him tell him you got stuck with something while at work like a safety pin or straight pin.

I was prescribed Cephalexin by a doctor when I got an infection in my quad. My leg had swollen to noticeably bigger than my other leg. I could barely bend it / use it. I would take the situation seriously. I truly believe there was a chance I could have lost my leg. It might have only been a small chance like 1%, but it looked so nasty. I would not dik around on this I would go to a doctor unless you have a hookup.
Also the cephalexin was free at a grocery store I wanna say publix you could ask the doc. Still have to pay for the walk in visit.

Nothing. If its not gone in 2 days or at least gotten better, go see a doc.
Sometimes if your hand is not steady when injecting, you could cause damage. Remember, the tip of that needle is a razor blade, every time you move it, it cuts you up inside. This can cause a hard spot, soreness, redness and pain/discomfort and even warm to the touch without an infection. But this usually only lasts 2 days and either goes away or VERY noticeably decreases. For this, hot water is a very temporary relief, also very light massage in that area would also help.
If that's not the case, see a doc and read up on proper preparation.
If you prepped properly, well.. it could be the gear. Personally, I would get new gear and never use that vial again.Last edited by austinite; 05-22-2012 at 04:11 PM.

Just checked my prescription and it's Bactrim ds. They have sulfur in them so I
assume their pretty strong. Just bit the bullet and head to the Dr. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Going to doc tomorrow. Sometimes the swelling goes down and then it increase. Not sure if its just due to aggitating it by walking.

When I was at the doc they brought out the tools needed to drain the infection and it was a horror show. I don't think you can fix it with just a needle unless it's the size of your pinkey and that may not be enough to get the job done. Just go tomorrow and he'll take care of it.
