first shot
so I did my first shot today of test 400 decided to go with .5ml every 3 days so i did .5 ml today and it wasn't nearly as bad as i thought..The question I have is 5 minutes later my ears are hot and feel a little anxiety is this normal????Do you guys think it's just nerves from getting all worked up from the first shot???I just want to be safe I aspirated and no blood and the injection went well it didn't even bleed when I pulled the pin out which was surprising to me...

The first time I pinned (1 ml) I got the same feeling, for me it was just nerves, after I actually came to like it lol.
*that was just me, the vets might have say something different.

My heart rate still goes up sometimes and I have done hundreds of injections.
I inject twice a week, every week for TRT, and I still break out in a sweat occasionally even though I am not afraid of needles any more.

Be nervous before you do a shot. It will keep you cautious and deliberate. The anxiety will pass like the guys advised.

Like Kel said be cautious and deliberate. Respect the process and don't get sloppy and negligent.

It's nerves. I shot right quad my first time and couldn't inject because my hands were shaking so bad. Had to pull out, change the needle, and try the left after I calmed down. Word of advise, relax and do it. Although in healthcare you're supposed to 'dart' in he needle, I find it easy to dart just enough to break the skin and ease it in the rest of the way. Make sure you research landmarking, and aspirate !!!!

I feel fine now as soon as I got to the gym I hit the treadmill and totally forgot about the anxiety....It's been about 5 hours now and I feel no pain what so ever..I did aspirate when I did the shot waited for a small air bubble to come into the needle and there was no blood coming into it so I went ahead with the shot..I put the test in some warm water while I took a really hot shower and as soon as I got out I did the injection hoping with the hot shower and the warm test it would maybe be a little less painful....I guess we shall see in the Am...Do you guys recommend doing a 3 day in between shots or 4???Anyways thanks for all the quick responses

Always aspirate . You'll never forget when you aspirate and immediately pull blood. The blood flows into the syringe extremely easily. Quite the opposite feeling of a normal "pull" when aspirating. You'll be cognizant of it from that point forward....
