    Workout for thick abs?

    Hey guys,

    Was wondering what exercises you guys recommend to get thick abs? Im pretty lean so you can see my abs but I wanna make then thicker so they stick out more. I hear if you wanna get them bigger that you should worn them out 1-2 times a week with weighted exercises? I've also read doing exercises daily? Just wondering what has worked for you guys that are lean. Thanks

    The best thing that will build your abs up or make them thicker is you put it is heavy weight training. Take the pro bodybuilders that have those really thick, dense abs, most of them do very little direct ab work if any at all. Things like heavy military press, squats, and even heat dead lifts all work the abs a great deal. In the past, I've actually had my abs feel extremely sore after heavy barbell military press than anything else. Think about it, if you're going to move some heavy weight you're abs are going to have to remain firm and take a firm grip on the load of weight above your head.
