What are you guys using to draw with?
Im currently using an 18g but its punching pieces of the stopper down into the vial whichis a pain in the ass to have to worry about injecting pieces of the stopper. The place i get my needles from goes from 18 right to 21... would a 21 be ok or would I be there all day trying to draw?

i use 18's but it's because my test comes in ampules not vials. if it were in vials i'd go smaller for sure.

18's are destroying the stoppers though

Draw with and inject with a 25g cant be bothered with all that needle swapping, unless I 'm drawing multiple compounds then I replace before injecting.

I draw with a 20 and pin with a 25. Every time you draw use a different spot on the stopper.

Im impatient with a 20g. No way I could use a 25. Wow. Plus my oil is pretty thick, dunno if a 25 could even draw it

stoppers are fairly rugged. an easy way to test is to fill your syringe with air and pump in several ml into your vial. air should NOT leak out. if you are brave, you can submerge your vial in water and see if airbubbles are coming out, just like testing a tire for leaks. I doubt it is destroying your stopper. i've been using 18ga for several years now and not once have I destroyed a stopper.

25 to pull, 25 to pin. Same pin most of the time And yes, sometimes I feel a bit of pain and anguish.

You can also buy what's called a multi-dose adapter that you insert into the rubber stopper, it has a nylon face, and handles bigger gauges way better. That's what I use.

Waste a needle and try pinning with a fresh one. You will never go back to pinning with the same needle you draw with. YOu can get needles only from AR-R so you dont waste syringes. Like butter with a new needle.

I also draw and pin with a 25 ( though I do use a new one to pin with ) what I do is to take a pan with a half inch of steaming hot water put it on the burner on high and place the bottles being used in the water. Now I go to my bedroom and get my two syringes with needles attached and 2 alchol pads by the time I do this and set them on the dining room table ( My significant others got no problem with my juicing) the vials are just starting to dance in the pan as air bubbles form undeneath them, this heats the vials to about 120° or so. By doing this even my TrenA at 100mg/ml which is the most viscous of AAS I use will flow through the 25g pin easily enough...maybe 15-20 seconds for a ml, things like MastP only take 5-7 secs also by the time I swap pins and swab and prep for pinning the compound in the syringe will have cooled to maybe 100° or so which in my experience is the ideal temp for pinning.
Also for anyone but particularly for those of you using larger pins to draw with you want to observe the bevel on the needle and apply slight sidways pressure away from the bevel so that the opening slice in the needle is being pulled away from the puncture point this will greatly lessen the potential for coring of the septum.
