Quick & Easy Question: 1.5 inch needles--what gauge? 23 gauge???
Hi,
Both my pecs got a small lump.
they look like 2 effin mosquito bites pinkish
I've been pinning with a 1 inch needle 23 gauge
pretty much the bulk or the weight of my research and questions on this effin LUmp is that i didn't hit the muscle all the way or not at all
the juries still out on whether my injection was a total wasste.
i am finding lots of pimples each morning even though im eating lean chicken breasts & i have lots of unwanted facial hair in places u wouldn't exp3ect like a wolfman.
i chose the pecs, cos u can aspirate easy w/ 2 hands
with quads the risk of hitting the sciatic nerve or other nerve is greater than the glute.
i really think i might need a 1.5 inch to effectively pin the pecs & yes, reluctantly i got to explore the glutes so a 1.5 inch needle is needed.
here's the meat of my question:
what guage do i have to use for a 1.5 "?
a 23 gauge right?
i need to confirm before i order right now a 1.5 inch needle what the gauge should be.
i pretty sure it's supposed to be a 23 gauge 1.5 inch needle. but i need to be sure.
please get back to me on the right gauge size for a 1.5 "
thanks a lot. woof woof owwwwwwwwwww! this wolfman has to bark at the moon, but will check ur replies periodically
(Testosterone really can turn a pre-pubescent girl who wants to be a boy into a man and grow facial hair and other hair)
i know cos i have turned much more hairy like a wolfman
ok here's my quesiton again:
i need to confirm before i order right now a 1.5 inch needle what the gauge should be.
i pretty sure it's supposed to be a 23 gauge 1.5 inch needle. but i need to be sure.
please get back to me on the right gauge size for a 1.5 "

i ordered 1.5 Inch 22 gauge as was recommended by at least 2 sites. they didnt have a 1.5 inch 23 gauge. hopefully i will have a happy ending pinning in the glutes (no pun intended).

you don't need 1.5 inch needle for chest. that's just insane! unless you're extremely fat, all you need is a 1 inch needle, and i would use a 25 gauge needle. i draw with a 23 gauge and inject with a 25 gauge needle. 22g needles are unecessarily thick. your shots weren't wasted. your body will still absorb steroids even if you injected into fat, it just takes longer. a lot of people get lumps from injections. it just means you injected way too fast.

Wait.....Are you a pre pubecent girl wanting to be a boy??? Anyways, 25 gauge is plenty. I prefer a smaller gaugesuch as a 25 for the actual pinning, as it makes you take your time. A 5/8" should be fine for the chest, but as kaptainkeezy said, a 1.5 is overkill for the chest, and I wouldnt even go that route. Take your time and dont forcethe compound into your body. It usually always causes a lump on meif injected too fast. And for goodness sake, hit the glute! It is simple and painless. And if you hit the top half of your butt, about 3-5 inches away from your tail bone, you should be fine. Since you already can hit your pecs, the glutes, delts and quads should be simple, and they should all be used, so rotate sites. If you can do chest, you cando anywhere for sure. Traps are also a good spot.

I do 1.5" 23g in glutes, and 1" 23g for quads/delts. Never messed with chest injections

1inch should be better, unless you have lots of fat tissue on your chest... which will make it a breast...
anyway... as for the size... fat pins mean more pain and faster rate of pushing the oil through.. which will also mean more pain. so stick with skinny pins. nothing wrong with 25g. less painful to pin, and also makes you push the oil more slowly, which is a good practice anyway.

No. I'm not a pre pubescent girl wanting to be a boy...that was just supposed to be a funny example of how I believe my Test injection wasn't wasted notwithstanding the lumps on my pecs because of the extra facial hair which is what some girls who want to be boys use Test for (to grow facial hair). haha
I just wanted to clarify that.
I copied and pasted your useful info. on pinning the glutes along with other people who gave such useful info. on this important topic. Thanks, WarMouth. This will be really helpful to me and I hope other readers for safer, healthier injections.

Just a quick note, Glutes, Delts and Quads in that order are the go-to spots for IM injection for a reason. There are many good resources both video and static on intramuscular injections. I would suggest googling this and looking at the one that clearly are made by/for the medical profession to help familiarize yourself with doing IM injections.
One difference between the med vids and our usage is we are not "Skaird" of the injection, so we can insert the needle slowly and depress the plunger slowly...the reason med pro's slam both is to try to finish before the patient starts squirming around causing trauma.
This research will help familiarize you with the various heads of the muscle on the shoulder ( hit the center muscle about 3 finger widths below the shoulder joint center) and the correct area on the glute (upper outer quadrant) to hit. Also on quads although you can hit nerves if you stay midthigh (between hip and knee) and feel for the outer muscle then slowly insert the needle this is not that big a deal...when you first start to feel a sting just back out its not nearly as bad as when you just poke it in there in one motion LOL.

This was exactly what I was going to post, adding the ventrogluteal (hip) injection sight. OP, you are right about the gluteus, in the medical community it is no longer considered best practice to shoot the gluteus for the exact reasons you've stated, but when's the last time you heard of a flu shot in the pec? You have two quads, two hips, and two delts. Thats 6 proven safe IM spots to rotate through, 4 if you discount the delts because you need to use both hands to aspirate . That is more than enough for a long ester. I wish more people would preach the hip injection, it is bar none the safest spot, and damn near painless in comparison to delts and quads. It is tough to landmark on your own, but once you know where it is it's easy, the spot's about the size of a quarter, but there's nothing bad to hit anywhere near it if you miss. Definitely use a 1.5 on the hip as it's a deep IM spot, but unless you're BF is higher you can easily use a 1inch on delts and quads, 22 or 23 guage work fine. I always preferred to draw with an 18g, a buddy nearly pooped his pants when he saw it, thought i was gonna use it to shoot
