Avoidable beginner mistakes
There's alot of repetitive posts on here by beginners and I thought it may be helpful if we listed some avoidable mistakes we made to help others. Personally I think I underestimated dieting. Now when most people think of dieting they think of cutting back on food consumption. I actaully needed to increase calorie intake. Sure I needed to cut back on certain foods like bread and junk type foods, but I dint realize the reason I stopped growing was because I wasnt eating enough of the proper foods.
The more muscle you put on,the more fuel you need to sustain it and continue to grow. You can do all the AAS you want, but if you dont adhere to a proper diet, you are just wasting your time and money. I have obviously made a few other mistakes along the way, but will leave the topic open for others to chime in and hopefully provide insight that will steer the beginners in the right direction.

never eat food you can't immediately identify by it's component parts
don't eat process food
avoid simple carbs
avoid saturated fats and transfats
drink only water
know your TDEE and use this as a map to implement your goals
and most importantly...
....do as I say, not as I do! =)

and depending on how we define "beginner"...
don't forget your legs! spend at least one whole day on legs alone
don't "over train" at most, work a particular muscle group 2x a week max
generally, 3 sets per muscle group is sufficient
stimulate all three muscle fiber subtypes by repping at 15/10/5
and don't forget to eat your gawdam veggies
don't overly rely on supplements

I feel as though 7 hrs. of sleep is needed EVERYDAY for me to grow. I took this way too lightly for a long time, but now truly believe that if growing is your goal then this point is right behind diet in importance.

Research is important. Not only do you need to thoroughly research how to cycle and implement Pct but learn to train and eat for optimal results. There are many pieces of the pie to figure out before starting a cycle.

Understand what works for YOU!
Someone else's training routine may not yield the same results, as well as the types and dosages of AAS. Learn and know how your body reacts.
