Sterilizing UGL Gear
im expecting some gear soon and i was wondering if there were measures i could take to prevent any potential problems down the road with the gear i am getting such as poor sterility?
if there are other possible probs i am not anticipating i would appreciate these being pointed out as well.

Can always refilter and bake.

What Fit said, but pressure cook instead of baking.

As above but into new sterile vials
No point filtering back into a dirty vial

ok this leads me to the next question:
what is the exact best filter for sterilizing gear?
what will pressure cooking do/prevent?
what do i need to pressure cook?

Inject it and stop worrying! You need to establish trust with your source! You are assuming it's not already sterile!

It never fails to amaze me how many ppl just fiddle fuk and play with their gear!

I don't have a pressure cooker so I filter (.22um whatman syringe filter) into a clean flask. Stick a pin in the rubber to relieve pressure and bake 200 degrees for an hour. I do the same routine when I brew and never had any problems.

I'm sorry but I still don't get the concept...any UGL worth a damn should have already assured it's sterile before you got it! If you don't trust em to do that then don't buy from them! It seems more risky to start pulling it out of vials and finger fuking it!

I ran some semi questionable gear through a Watman .22
But, all in all - WE ARE INJECTING GARBAGE!
I am this conclusion and it sucks. We are buying drugs off who knows who that we pump into our body.
An abscess is the least of my worries, it's the long term damage we may be causing to our bodies without even knowing it.
Really, been worrying me lately. Specially since the other post in the lounge.
Bummer

405, just start brewing. That way you can be in charge of the sterility. Plus it'd be fun!

JOB the concept is it was an inquiry buddy! im not saying im gonna do it or im not gonna do it. just inquiring as to what i would need if i decided to do it. what got me thinking about it mainly was panns thread on PIP. when doing glute shots as well as love handle shots (anything requiring me to reach around with both hands) i have a hard time reaching and usually have a somewhat shaky hand when injecting, not real bad but u prob wouldnt want me doing delicate surgery on u!
the thought went thru my head why not rule out sterility probs if i can by running it thru a filter. i dont necessarily distrust the UGL per se but sometimes oversights and mistakes can be made especially if ur working with large volume it would seem to me. id also like to note here im making this observation having absolutely NO knowledge of what an AAS lab actually looks like nor do i have any understanding of the process for brewing AAS and what the machines look like that do the brewing and have no knowledge of their ability or inability to maintain a sterile environment. i suppose u could say this is a theoretical precaution of mine rooted in ignorance.(does this make u feel any better JOB??
)
if not then screw you!

hey is this filtering thing a slow process?
-
02-16-2013, 02:36 PM #28
No it's not slow if you use a SMALL SYRINGE....
Warm the gear slightly.... Filter using a 0.22 filter using a 2.5-3ml syringe into sealed sterile vials....
Autoclave in a pressure at 15psi for 30 mins.....
If your going to buy a pressure cooker go for one with a 15psi setting... Go for one one with a high medium and low setting.... They will be 5 10 and 15psi respectively...
I understand why you wish to do this, I don't blame u..... Just because UGL's filter there gear it doesn't mean they use a 0.22 and it doesn't mean that they autoclave... Which makes a big difference!
