Western Union
Has anyone sent money online using Western Union rather than sending it in person? Any concerns doing it this way?

I've sent it before. Money in minutes works very well and quick. Just scares me having a credit card attached to the order

I always send online with WU (with real name and address) and never had a problem. Don't really understand what can go wrong.

I send WU all the time overseas to buy stuff. I use my real name and contact information. The chances are greater that the product will be seized by customs, with your address on it on its way into the US, than someone questioning a WU transaction. The only caveat is if you're sending over $3,000 by WU. The new money laundering law says you have to show identification for all transaction $3,000 or over. If someone was to ask me about my WU transaction I'd tell them I was buying health products.

WU now requires ID for all transactions over $1000.

Vanilla reload is better than moneypak. I know moneypak has been limiting amounts and locking accounts for some sources. A lot won't take it anymire

I always send WU and have never had an issue, just have to trust your source!

This literally just happened to me last week and I got it all fixed yesterday. This is why I use a real name. Because I never would have gotten my money back with a fake name. Maybe with the receipt? I don't know
But WU is a safe route to go if you're paying cash in store. I don't like the idea of putting a credit card to my name... But I have a lot more in the line with a government job. So I'd rather play it safe, or at least feel like its safer
