Red lump after glute. I. M.

Hey ppl just wanted to let it be known. that don't freak out. It may not be an abscess...

Did glute I. M. Injection. as I entered skin and needle was inserted, a little bit of blood came out of injection site while needle was inserted. No blood was inside syringe as I aspirated.

After and for about 2 days I had hard red lump. Was thinking it was an abscess . On 3rd and 4th day it became better.

So assumed it was just bad injection, and or spot. And got swollen.

Anyways just letting it be known little red lump doesn't automatically mean abscess.
If it last check with doctor. Be safe

    Ok later

It sounds like just a bad pinning. However, I would continue to monitor the site for a couple of weeks and be sure it disappears completely. If it doesn't, seek medical help.
