I agree with this but just out of curiosity how will running test. make recovery easier? I mean if your shut down your shut down correct? The only thing running test. as a base will do is help on cycle right?

Nope. testosterone is required to stimulate sertoli cells in your nads. Not to mention, 0 testosterone levels is more harmful than good. Tons of things are dependant on testosterone for normal function. All of which are impacted negatively. Maintaining in-range levels will help maintain other hormones and organs dependant on testosterone. This is partly why some new TRT patients don't experience all of the benefit that everyone else preaches. Just like low e2, low testosterone can also cause damage.
Keep it alive.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Great article Ausinite,
As someone who is interested in bodybuilding history, how true do you think it is that guys in Arnold's era were primarily just using Dianobol and Primabolin etc? I think I read somewhere that in that time those guys were not fans of testosterone .....is this all myths and heresay or were those guys just really unhealthy and shut down all the time?
Just curious on your thoughts?

No one knows. But my speculation is that no one back then came off of testosterone. I think that young folks from today's age used that as a reference for so many years to overcome objections from others. Over the years, it has built up a reputation and stuck somehow.
Everyone knew the power of testosterone in the 70's, there was no denying that. Just my opinion though.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

So much dribble came out of his mouth and it all sounded good to me as i had no knowledge about gear. Thankfully I read this before taking him up on his advice
Thanks again austinite

Ok, I'm afraid I'm about to make myself look really stupid but can you really inject AAS SubQ? I don't think I've ever heard of this or considered it. I think every vial I've ever had says "For IM use only" or something to that effect.
Does the oil actually absorb into the fat? Wouldn't you be left with a huge lump?
I don't know why but that stuck out to me. I know people who won't inject but if your going to stick yourself why would you go SubQ?
-
05-09-2014, 09:20 PM #62
^ In small volumes, it's fine. .6ml or less shouldn't cause a lump. SubQ is not ideal for cycling doses. Best used for TRT purposes as it is absorbed slower and is less impactful on e2.
The comment in the article was directed at those who have difficulty locating their gonads.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

thanks so glad i read. about two years ago roommate was constantly on this site studying. He finally got some gear, test and dbol i think and was bugging me everyday about trying some. He said dbol was mild and harmless taken alone everyone does it etc. Stupidly I took his word and started taking the dbol alone but after a week I got nervous. Figured I should do my own research first and now i am doing just that and finding out its a stupid thing to do. Glad I decided to stop now I see why you stress research and study before jumping in impatiently. I am going to keep reading and learning before I do my first cycle. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like your roommate either didnt learn much or didnt like you much since he was pushing dbol only cycle on you. If it was me I would be having a talk with him about that.

I am trying to understand the interplay between how HCG protects on cycle (great idea btw, I do want children), and also how Testosterone protects biology on cycle. Specifically I wonder if Libido and Fertility are ALWAYS together at any specific point in time (I think I read about a fellow that did HCG on cycle but had no libido, but his gonads stayed normal size - HCG but no test added to AAS ???).
Fertility: if you DO NOT add test, can you keep fertile while STILL USING HCG on cycle with AAS? I am specifically talking about long term post AAS use.
Libido: if you DO NOT add test but use say Deca , or Tren AND DO use HCG on cycle, do you keep your libido? Or do you permanently lose your libido in such a case? Again I am wondering about off cycle/long term.Last edited by jaast; 07-12-2014 at 05:31 AM.

i can't link because I'm on the phone. But read the hcg thread in the educational articles sticky. It will answer most your questions.
It's entirely obvious that I do not advocate the lack of testosterone use on cycle. Not sure why you want me to get into that.
Gonads don't always shrink for everyone. But they do for the majority.
Yes you can be fertile on cycle, regardless of the cycle.
Deca is one of the most suppressive compounds known to man. A single 200 mg injection will Halt production.
Good luck. Please locate and read the hcg thread. You should also locate and read the hpta explanation thread so that you understand more about your endocrine system and how steroids impact fertility directly.~ PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SOURCE CHECKS ~

Yes, I read both (I have been reading the "should be required for new members posts and articles"). I appreciate the work you did on them.
Some context:
Why can not hcg give enough test for libido!? This currently does not make sense to me. My gonads give me plenty of libido now, if they keep working..... More important in my case and perhaps others, I have never used aas, and am going to start (slowly with LOTS of additional study). I am also getting married and want long term libido/function and fertility even if I come off an aas like Deca. Yes I know: Deca later, test first cycle, blood work, and all ducks strictly in a row. I have been reading as I said.
My confusion explained another way:
HCG the greatness is complete?
In my tentative conclusion hcg is what protects libido and fertility LONG AFTER AAS USE IS STOPPED because of its unique protective effect keeping the gonads working. Thus even with suppressive Deca, no harm whatsoever (not only 90% LONG TERM protection, 80%...?) occurs to libido or fertility long term with hcg. If this is true (100% long term after the fact protection) WOW, there are so many Deca after cycle horror stories. Deca is for example sake only, I intend to use others as well, like Tren .
Why add test if hcg makes the test flow?
Testosterone helps keep libido on cycle. I have no idea if hcg helps keep libido on cycle! Can taking hcg make one keep libido on cycle without exegenous test for example (because it keeps the body making its own test)?? If the answer is NO (a feeble assumption in my mind at this point) I assume this is because exegenous steroid suppression "overpowers" this "natural" test (however I have no idea if this is an accurate statement! I am not confident of this assumption in my mind).
Following this reasoning, a fair question can be asked:
Why not then just take hcg for fertility and libido if the above assumptions are wrong, and the gonads can supply plenty of test with hcg use on cycle.
My tentative (and willing to see otherwise) conclusion is this: hcg keeps gonads from shrinking and keeps you fertile, but does not give you libido during the cycle (for some reason).
I am trying to disambiguate the effect of these two chemicals on cycle, AND ESPECIALLY LONG TERM.
summary:
HCG
→100% protection for both libido and fertility LONG TERM?????
→Why is hcg stimulated test "not enough test" on cycle for libido if it is good enough for gonad/fertility protection??Last edited by jaast; 07-15-2014 at 01:44 AM.
