Help me LOSE my bulk
I know I'm going to get a ton of heat on here for this but due to personal reasons I need to lose my bulk as quickly as I can. I'm 37 years old 5'8" tall and 197lbs. I'm approx. 12% b.f. and have been lifting for many years. My goal is to get down to 170-175 without carrying bulk. I want to be thinner and leaner. I'm currently on TRT taking 200mg/week Test C.
My first thought is to bump this down to 100-150mg/week which I would think would help remove some muscle. I just had bloodwork done today to see where I'm at for a baseline but won't have that for a few more days. I also just started taking T3 as I'm sure this will help what I'm trying to achieve.
I'm going to do a ton of cardio and lift lighter and obviously eat WAYYYY less.
Am I missing anything and do you think this is possible? Please don't flame as I know that's what you're all thinking.
Thanks,
Pistol

changing diet could help, as well as running marathons.
**when women's bodybuilding changed and the judges wanted more "feminine" bodies, they had to cut the excess muscle, they did so with a ton of cardio

I needed to lose a bunch of weight several years ago and accidentally lost most of my muscle. Most important to me in this misguided project was diet. I ate a more serious deficit than for a cut - say 400 to 600 under (you aren't trying to keep muscle). I kept clean carbs at 60-75% and fat at 10%. I really pounded those green veggies (brocolli, Kale, salads, spinach, etc).
As far as exercise, I worked up to 45min-1hr TWICE a day. I Mixed it up. Running is great, but that volume can play hell on your joints. Bike, swim, do crossfit, high intensity aerobics. I did this at least 5 days a week.
Caution: I lost about 80lbs in 9 months like this, but a lot of muscle went with it and it has been hell to get back.

You shouldn't get any heat for this, its a personal decision.
If I were you I would leave your TRT as is, lower your protein intake (my understanding is that you want to CATABOLIZE some muscle mass, that's one of the quickest ways to do it), cut your weightlifting down to 3 days a week and up your cardio to 5 days. Take a look at some of the carb cycling and intermittent fasting articles as well.
I'm actually doing something very similar to this right now. While I'm not going out of my way to catabolize muscle tissue, I'm not concerned if it happens. I need to be able to complete a distance run in a certain amount of time (for my work) and so I simply made that my priority and put everything else in the background.
