Does it matter if it is doing what you want it to do? Don't think too much. Keep eating.

Vitamin B-12 definitely increases my appetite.
I was taking a 1000mcg pill everyday but lowered the dosage to 500mcg per day.

many people taking b12 or simply multi-vitamins report an increased appetite but, there is very little scientific evidence to support the fact that vitamins have any function in increasing appetite.
Deficiencies of many vitamins can cause a decreased appetite, so it is perhaps likely that feelings of increased hunger when taking vitamins may be due to previous deficiencies which when corrected mean that appetite returns to normal levels.
There is no evidence to suggest that this will actually happen and if any increase in appetite is experienced, it may be due to replacement of nutrients previously deficient, which is ideal for your health.
So basically your diet was not where it should have been!

    I was eating too much.
When I first started TRT I was using 500mcg then I increased it to 1000mcg and now I am back down to 500mcg.

It may be placebo or fixing a deficiency. IDK.
However, I believe that it increases appetite. I of course could be wrong.
