    Blood Work Price in Thailand

    Hi,

    I just got a quote back from a hospital in Bangkok for blood work and am pretty surprised at how much they want.

    Testosterone , Total : 1,000 Baht* Turnaround time is 2 hours.
    Testosterone, Free : 2,850 Baht* Turnaround time is 4 hours.
    Sensitive E2 Assay (Not basic estradiol) : Ask the concerned department for its availability.
    CBC (Compete blood count) : 385 Baht* Turnaround time is 1 hour
    CMP (Comprehensive metabolic panel)
    Sodium : 370 Baht* Turnaround time is 1 hour
    Potassium : 370 Baht* Turnaround time is 1 hour
    Calcium : 400 Baht* Turnaround time is 1.30 hours
    Chloride : 370 Baht* Turnaround time is 1 hour
    Carbon Dioxide (Bicarbonate) : 370 Baht* Turnaround time is 1 hour
    Glucose (FPG) : 350 Baht* Turnaround time is 1.30 hours
    BUN : 350 Baht* Turnaround time is 1.30 hours
    Creatinine : 350 Baht* Turnaround time is 1.30 hours

    This to me sounds extremely high, does anyone else have any experience on what it should cost please

    I get can get blood work done for about $100. $437 seems a little high.

    Try a different hospital or even a private hospital. I got xrays and pain meds for around 1000tbh (30$) when I was there.

    I don't know about blood work but I used to train a bunch of Thai soldiers and when we were in the field and anyone got injured their remedy was always a glass of liquor with some kind of stick in it. Funny stuff.

    Thanks for the replies, yea I thought the price was high, I'll start looking elsewhere.

    Anyone got any recommendations of clinics in Bangkok for blood tests?
