Why so much criticism?
It seems like every time someone comes on here and post a heavy cycle they get flamed or told how stupid they are for it or if someone stays on year round or blast and cruise it's the same negative comments. If someone is wanting to compete or put on massive gains and they want to be competitive even at the local or state level they need to do what it takes to get to that level. If that means they run a gram of test then so be it. That's not that much compared to what some people do or if someone wants to run 100mg of dbol a day on top of everything else because they feel it will help them reach their goal then that's what they should do. It's a personal choice and telling someone they are stupid or ignorant is not right. If someone is to the point that they are running that much gear most should know there can be negative consequences that they might have to deal with. I'm all for people doing what it takes to reach their goals or look like a freak and if it's 5 grams a week to do it than go for it.

We advocate the safest use of AAS possable. A majority of the people interested in using high doses are inexperienced and ignorant. Using high doses of AAS isn't safe and usually counterproductive.
When it comes to AAS less is more. You can easily hit the point of diminished returns. Just because you gained 10 pounds of muscle using 500mg of test doesn't mean you will gain 20 pounds if you use 1000mg. You expose yourself to all the negative sides of higher doses for diminished returns.

BUT if they are stupid and ignorant then it is right...I personally dont comment on guys that post heavy cycles as I dont have experience with heavy cycles. And as others have said alot of times guys that want to run a gram of test are ignorant and stupid. There are exceptions to this of course not all guys that run heavy cycles are ignorant and I have spoken with several that are quite intelligent...not just about AAS but just in general. I think the vets here give advice on a case by case basis from what I have seen...yes sometimes their advice is harsh...but sometimes harsh is what is needed.

it's a little disturbing that some come here thinking they can take drugs and eliminate the need for all the hard work ahead of time.....
drugs is no substitute for:
*all the hard work and years in the gym
*all the knowledge and discipline required at the kitchen table
so yeah, it's a little bothersome that some come here and think they can just simply purchase a physique. And it's a little bothersome that they don't give the drugs the respect/caution they deserve.
back in my day, you had to earn your physique. it took years. and it was a lot of work.
kids today think they can waltz right in and on their fourth cycle, take test, tren , abombs, and everything will be ok.
what many don't see is when they crash and burn. it aint pretty. and it can be permenant.
So show some respect for the knowledge some of us do have, and don't get upset if the advice you get is what you need, and not what you want.
Cheers!

Stick around and check out all the posts by people that cycle stupidly or young and damage their endocrine system. When you spend loads of time answering questions about how to restore health after reckless, immature decisions were made, you try to stop people from making them in the first place (although it is often an exercise in futility). So that's why we don't jump and twirl pompoms for people taking crazy amounts of steroids just to be supportive.
And of course it's a personal choice, and I don't think anyone wants to take those rights away from anyone, but just because you CAN do something doesn't mean it isn't stupid. And we have the personal choice to say what we believe and to choose to not blow sunshine up people's arses even if that is what they want.

^^^^^ nicely put. +1
98% of the people /kids who come here thinking they want to get big and compete never do but a lot get stuck with health issues or on trt due to their impulsive decision.
Life has a way of changing your plans for the future. Funny how many guys forget all about bodybuilding as soon as they meet a girl, have a kid, start working 40, 50, 60 hrs a week. Get a mortgage or one of the million other things life throws at you.Last edited by lovbyts; 06-04-2014 at 02:11 PM.

Most people do not realize that the criticism is due to the fact that most of the veterans on this forum have made the same mistakes that the uneducated are asking about and they are trying to prevent the young from making the same mistakes.
