Does one need steroids to be a Men's Physique IFBB Pro?
Just wondering what your input would be. A lot of people say that, in order to achieve an IFFB pro card, you need to go down the steroid route. However, that statement tends to be geared towards bodybuilders and not men's physique guys.
Whilst you might say it's very possible to achieve a universally aesthetic physique through natural bodybuilding alone, I still don't believe it's enough to make it very far in the men's division. Most of the taller guys are 190 - 210 lbs and shredded (5-7% BF) whilst the smaller guys are usually around 175-190 lbs shredded. Those kind of stats aren't very realistic for the average guy who wants to remain natural.
What's your input?

I think it could be possible, I cannot rule it out entirely. Although, I do believe some people have led fairly decent physique careers while staying natural. There are some leagues that test very thoroughly, not just ratios, and claim to be all natural.
I think for one to be successful and stay natural you would have to really have everything perfected as far as diet and nutrition goes and also have good genetics. If it were me though I would bet on the AAS user every single time.

Steroids would still help, so you can be sure that they're all using.

^^^ agreed.
Even if I do believe that one on a million genetik freak with perfect everything may reach that kind of physics and be successful.
I dont believe than any of them is steroids free.
Maybe some use very very small dose.
But they are all still using.

I basically see it as more of a competition for aesthetics versus bodybuilding which I feel is those pushing the human body to its absolute limits to compete.
It's also another moneymaker which I'm sure is the primary reason men's physique competitions are even held to begin with.
