Worth doing just 1 cycle?
Hi all, I would like some experiences/info/opinions please.
Ive heard your 1st course is by far the most beneficial, my question is, are there any major health concerns from just once cycle to get back some initial size? Ive read up alot on the long term side affects of years of juice but there isnt a great deal on the super short term...
Quick background, Im 23, have been doing natural gym for 3 years, Im naturally skinny, never been over 80kg, currently 74kg and 6 foot 1. In the last few months I went through family cancer treatments, holiday oversea's and then ended a long bad relationship and moved out, and have lost a bit of size.
My goal is to stack on some weight and muscle very fast in the cycle hopefully getting to 85kg, then to go back to natural and continue to train and diet.
Please and thanks

Virtually no one does "just one cycle" although nearly everyone started thinking they'd do "just one cycle".
23 is still a little young to start using steroids

While some people do cycle at your age, you'd be far safer to wait a couple of years.
If you've been pre-occupied with other things I imagine you're out of condition and you will probably need some time to build up your base, for someone your height you should be around 82/83kg at a bf of 12% to start. If you are serious about just doing one cycle, you really should put the time in before hand to maximize the benefits.
This thread has all the good stuff you need to know, follow it to the letter and you can't go wrong.

You'll look better if you start with a decent base and you eat clean and eat enough on cycle while keeping your training up and you'll look bigger...Once you come off you'll lose some water and see what you really gained..Will never be more than 10lbs tissue in a 12 week period or so...Especially if you're close to your natural limit...If you're at your natural limit when you start the cycle you won't even keep that... So it's up to you

Awesome thanks guys. Will have a big read of that thread after work.
I really want to limit myself to 1-2 cycles.
With everything thats gone on lately I just want the body ive tried to get for 3 years, to prove people wrong and myself right. If 1-2 courses give me that headstart then that will make me happy.
Was there many downsides to just 1-2 cycles?

I don't know who to credit, but there is a phrase often used on here which goes something like this :
"Once you've had a taste of what it's like to be Superman, who want to be Clark Kent again?"
Limiting yourself to 1-2 cycles is unlikely to happen.
Anywho, this link accompanies the "My first cycle" link I posted and is essential reading, I suggest you take your time to read it fully, there is a lot to know and understand.

As you will read, it is essential that you get your base body development up to the required level or you run much greater risks of injury during the cycle.

For the record, this strongly suggests that you don't have your nutrition down properly. Learn to eat. It is a far more significant part of bodybuilding than many realise.
70% diet
15% training
10% rest
5% steroids
steroids aren't very effective until you have the other 95% dialed in properly.

Personally I think it is a waste. Either educate yourself, work hard and be consistent and happy with what you are able to accomplish. Or you could go the steroid route and surpass what is possible naturally, but if you do you will have to keep cycling to maintain or keep making progress. Absolutely pointless to do a couple cycles unless you aren't dedicated enough to do it without, and or you want a short cut, and well those aren't good enough reasons to possibly cause harm to your body.

Of course you can only do 1 cycle then go back to natural
But good luck trying it
If you gain 20lbs on your first cycle then after the water retention subsides and your left with say 10lbs you think shit and already start planning your next cycle
Plus the feeling in your body and mind while on gear is addictive in itself.
I personaly try to stick with 1 cycle every year, maybe every 10months

Like like when Jeffery Dahmer killed his first person...You think he was just gonna stop at 1? Or when Hitler and Germany took the Rhineland...You think they were gonna stop there?!??! Or when you say you're only gonna rub one out once today, and you end up doing 5-6 times...Or that's just me? OH WELL! YOU GET IT!!!

You've just gone through a lot of stress (increased cortisol, which occurs as a result of stress, will eat away at your muscles to fund the metabolic activity of the sympathetic nervous system), why push yourself to recover so quickly? This is likely to just continue the elevated cortisol state. There are a lot of people here whose bodies have not been able to stay healthy with lots of abuse - you have the opportunity to take better care of yourself and not harm yourself for the long term.
Give yourself a good amount of time to recover, and you don't have to close any doors - you can always reconsider this in a year or two. In the meantime, work hard in your workouts, but eat well, sleep well and look after yourself properly.
