    high iron

    hi guys i did blood work and my doctor told me that i have high iron in my blood
    its been 6 months i'm off the gear he told me it could be in your families genetics i asked and it doesn't run in my family. And i don't take any vitamins with iron, anyone know what it could be.

    Yeah, the steroids increased your hemoglobin. Just donate some blood.

    with the amount of blood donations this forum's members alone donate yearly, steroid users should be offered a nobel peace prize instead of running the fine line between law abiding citizen and criminal drug offender.

    Hemochromatosis is an iron overload. Body cannot get rid of the extra iron. Usually genetic tho as far as I know. It can be fatal so ur doctor would probably have picked up on it.

    Causes other symptoms like joint pain, thyroid issues,depression, impotence etc

    It could also be from an infection or alcohol. Do another test in one month if so.

    Neither one causes polycythemia or hemochromatosis.

    Its pretty obvious from steroids use. We all have the same problem (some get it worse tough)
