Low libido and depression 6 weeks into cycle.. need major help
I am 6 weeks into my first cycle. 26 years old male. Test E only cycle. 500mg per week. Geneza Pharmaceuticals is the brand. Also taking an AI arimidex .25 eod.
Now I actually haven't felt any of the normal effects you are supposed to have on cycle like strength gains, high libido, ball shrinkage, I got slight acne on my back and shoulders but that's it.
All this lead me to believe that my gear is bunk so I recently took a blood test. A free test, total test, and e2 sensitive test. I am just waiting on the results.
Now something I have recently noticed in the past week or 2 is that my libido has been down, and I am really feeling depressed.... I don't know why. I no longer want to workout, eat anymore, or even go to my job. I don't want to do anything. I just feel sad all the time. It's terrible... This is a major problem.
What could this possibly be? Maybe my test E is bunk so my AI is causing my estrogen to be way too low? Is there anything I can do? Should I take an anti depressant for now?
Need serious help. Any help is appreciated.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: UPDATED BLOOD TEST RESULTS:
I only fasted for 8 hours before taking the blood test. I don't know if that had any kind of affect on it
Testosterone, Total: LC/MS 3257.6 High ng/dL
Free Testosterone(Direct): >50.0 High
Estradiol, Sensitive: 50.2 High
Wow I am really surprised.
My total test is at 3257.6, yet I am not feeling the effects. Maybe it just started kicking in?
Also, it my Estradiol too high? Is this whats been causing my low libido and depression? I have been taking arimidex .25mg every other day. Should I start taking .5mg?
I stopped taking my test shots and AI for about a week because I was afraid it was bunk test and thought the AI was just harming me rather than helping. I will go back to injecting today and taking .5mg AI today as well. How much will a week off of injecting and AI affect me?
Tell me what you think of these results.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7/21: UPDATE: Still continuing my cycle. Have been taking .5g of arimidex eod for over a week. I still feel extremely depressed. Feel like absolute crap. Same feelings as before. Not in the mood to do anything. I am trying to stay strong and continue my cycle but this depression is just too much. I'm taking mood enhancers, 5-htp, anything that can boost my mood up, no help at all. I'm at the point where I'm feel like just dropping out of school and quitting my job because of how depressed I am. I literally hate everything.
Anyone have any clue why this is happening to me?
I am going to get another blood test. Another Testosterone and e2 sensitive blood test.
What else should I include that could tell me whats causing this? CBC or what?
Need serious help..

If you don't want to read all that just skip to the testosterone and estrogen levels. Everything else (meaning the CBC and CMP) is in normal range.
Took this blood test July 27th, which was 1 week after my last pin. I am doing pct soon. I still feel like shit and still feel depressed. So I see that the total test dropped down to around 1100 (which was expected since it was 1 week after my last pin.) And I also noticed my estrogen dropped down to 8.5. Which means my bumping up my arimidex to .5 eod seemed to be working and not bunk. So even with the estrogen low, I still feel depressed. Why is that?
I am running out of ideas here.. maybe it was my free test? Since its really the only thing out of range on my bw? Is it possible its my free test causing my depression? I just don't get it..
Does anyone have any ideas?Last edited by saucerking; 07-30-2016 at 07:57 PM.

that was my initial thought, if your gear is bunk then the AI has crashed your E2, and therefore feeling like shit. stop taking AI until you get your BW results and go from there. no need to take anti depressants, I think that will make it worse, just force yourself to the gym and do your best, walk or jog, or do something to stay busy.

No problems with libido, but a little depressed and napping a bit more. As mentioned in another of your threads I had a very slow start week 1 - 6 and I think the anxiety contributed to the mental let-down.
I'm at week 9 now & still a little more depressed than I started. Honestly, I think it has been all of the expectations & uncertainties of going through the first cycle.
Good luck with your BW!
Just caught it - IMO, do not start anti-depressants now. Get this situation sorted out first.Last edited by Proximal; 07-07-2016 at 05:36 PM.

Its all guessing without bloodwork im afraid (you probably knew that already) but its hard to say whats going on without blood results.
I personaly doubt it would be bunk test, if it was bunk test you would just probably feel normal like you did before even starting your cycle (unless you were taking other compounds - which you arent)
Its likely something to do with your e2 levels but you need bloodwork before deciding and correcting whats wrong.
Is your AI pharma grade or UGL?

Yeah I am just waiting on the results of my bloodwork. I took a total test, free test, and e2 test.
And I am not saying it's the bunk test causing my depression. I am saying because of the fact that my test is bunk, I have just been lowering my e2 levels too much with the AI I am taking.
My AI is UGL. Geneza pharmaceuticals
Yes this. Thanks
Bodyfat is 12%ish. If anything is wrong, it's gotta be the test itself. Just really underdosed or complete bunk.

of course I was talking about a legit cycle, crashing your E2 has no long term effect, its temporary.

Think you have anxiety issues, and have build up high expections about steroids .
Steroids are no magic pills, its just hormones, changes dont happen over night. Personnaly always lift my eyebrow when ppl say they feel good like on steroids, its not like that at all for me.
Sure, can have higher intensity in gym, yes recovery is better, but in terms of feelings im pretty much the same. Ok, maybe tren makes me more lose patiency easier, but its not a change from day to night, it takes time.
Keep training hard and eating big and stop overthinking stuff, chances are you dont have pro genetics so dont expect to look like one no matter what.

So is my estrogen really that high at 50.2? How bad is that?? What should it look like during mid cycle? Should I start taking .5mg arimidex now?
I haven't built up high expectations. I just havent felt any side affects after 5 weeks of taking test.
I still have low libido and some depression. Its not "all in my head". Its definitely happening. So is it cause my estrogen is 50.2?
So its the test causing low libido and depression not my estrogen?

Agree with everything you just said! Mentioned the high expectation issue quite a few posts ago, but it went ignored, oh well.
His total T is a good 600 above mine and his E2 is lower - if I can make gains, his will be better, rest assured, because I sure as shit don't have the genetics.

I don't think the AI is bunk. I think my estrogen would be a lot higher if it was bunk. I thought the test was bunk but blood tests proved me wrong. The AI is from the same company. So I believe it works
Why should I take .25mg every day rather than .5mg every other day? I thought you were supposed to increase the dose if things weren't going well. Not increase it from eod to ed.

Depression is definitely in your head, it is a psychiatric/psychological problem, and it can influence libido for sure.
Who knows if its from estrogen, nobody can can give you a sure answer. Try it like Bizzarro advised, only way to know.
IMHO doubt it as it is not really that high.
Personnaly, on past cycle, have completely lost libido due to relationship problems with my gf, went from wanting it 2-3 times a day to no sex for 2 weeks.
The brain is the biggest sex organ.

Another hint: if it get worse by upping AI, then the issue is likely the T:E2 ratio - in this case, there is not much you can do other than lowering test dosage (but I'd advise coming off cycle and start PCT).

That's true. I haven't cycled before so I don't know but the company is pretty reliable.
I'll do .5mg every other day since it's much easier to cut the Arimidex in .5mg rather than .25mg.
But then what? I mean should I do another testosterone and estradiol test in like a week or two to see if it's working or what?
Look, I am telling you it's not all in my head. There's nothing wrong with me psychologically. No problems going in my life, nothing like that. I could understand you having relationship problems could cause depression and lack of libido but there are no problems going on in my life. I usually find things to blame on but this time, I really can't blame it on anything other the Test and Ai I am taking! It just started randomly happening to me a couple weeks ago.
I know the estrogen isn't super out of range but maybe it's possible that's whats causing it. I don't know. We will see.
Are you saying I should come off cycle and start PCT right now or only if the problems becomes worse/doesn't change from upping my AI?
Yeah I know it is a bit out of range. I am gonna up the AI to .5mg eod.
Do you think it's my estrogen causing me to be depressed and lack of libido?

You could check for again for E2 sensitive after a couple of weeks but how you feel is important, not bw.

Well I want to check my E2 again to see if the AI is bunk. Or if it shows my E2 is lowered but I still feel depressed, then its something else.
I don't know what it is but well see. I increased my arimidex to .5mg eod. This depression is really killing me though.... I've never felt like this before. I just don't want to do anything... It's the worst feeling ever. I really just wanna end my cycle right now and do pct. I know its a lot of money spent on nothing but I can't stand this feeling of sadness everyday. It's absolutely terrible..
I don't want to eat, don't want to workout, don't want to go to work., don't want to go to school, don't talk to anybody, nothing.....

why are you ignoring what everyone is telling you...it has been mentioned countless time that you may have crashed your e2 because your gear is possibly bunk...stop the cycle and let your e2 come back or something...how can you say its not in your head with all this self loathing...you do need help, help no one here is qualified to give you...maybe steroids isn't for you...

Saucerking, I'm thinking your high estrogen level is the main culprit behind your depression brother. It's a good chance your AI is bunk and you estrogen just keeps getting higher. If I were you I would go back for more blood work. In fact, if you can swing it, you need to go back for; Complete Blood Count (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Panel - 14 tests, Testosterone Free Direct with Total Testosterone, Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) Sulfate, Estradiol, Hemoglobin A1c, C-Reactive Protein (CRP), Fibrinogen, Homocyst(e)ine Plasma, Thyroid-stimulating Hormone (TSH), Lipid Panel With Total Cholesterol:HDL Ratio, Prostate-specific Antigen (PSA)
You have to be proactive when it comes to your health brother. Good luck and try to stay confident that you will get better.

Please read my updates^. The test isn't bunk
I want to say its bunk but then again I thought the Test was bunk and blood tests proved otherwise. Not to mention, it's a pretty reliable brand (Geneza Pharmaceuticals)
Yeah I definitely plan on getting more blood work. Is there a name of a blood test that gets everything you just mentioned?
I use discountedlabs btw for blood tests.
Well I doubt lowering the test would do much if anything. I mean I'm only taking 500mg per week.
Yeah I'm curious to see what E2 is now that I've been taking .5g arimidex eod.
But lets just say it has been working and my estrogen is in normal range, then what? What could it be?
