Making sure I didnt screw up my body, please read
Whats up guys? This is a new account because my old username was possibly too revealing of my identity, but I am not new to this site.
So I am 24 years old, and I am thinking about maybe hitting a cycle in the next year or two if I can get everything worked out perfectly. Here is the catch. I broke the golden rule and ran my first cycle at 19. I want to make sure I haven't already screwed up my body before even considering running another cycle.
The cycle I ran was a 12 week test E cycle at 500mg/week with a 4 week dbol kick start. Ran 4-5 weeks of nolva and clomid for PCT. I hate to say I did not run HCG on cycle because back then when I was researching here it was not promoted as heavily as I have seen it these days.
The good news is that I experienced minimal side effects during the cycle and up until now. Had some back acne toward the end of cycle and into PCT but no gyno, ED, or other common side effects. I am hoping since it was a fairly mild cycle and close to proper PCT that I got lucky and didn't screw up my body too badly. I am by NO MEANS CONDONING CYCLING AT 19 for anyone teenage that is reading this.
So my question is even though I have experienced minimal to no side effects up to this point, is there something I can do to help me know if I am destined for problems in the future. I am assuming I need to go see the doc and have some blood work ran. Is that the only thing I need to do? If so, exactly which test panels should I request the doc to run? Sorry for making this thread so long guys, I hope yall will take the time to read it. Thank you all for your time and feedback.

Glad to hear you made it through your first cycle without any major problems. Im 20 atm and although I don't have any AAS experience, I have experience with a couple of sarms and otc "test boosters" that in hindsight were probably not as natty as made out, considering some revealing blood results.
Although I'm not quite ready for real AAS just yet, I took down the following from another thread so I know what to test before I jump on the real stuff:
"Complete Blood Count (CBC), Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, full hormonal assay with male E2 sensitive assay, lipids, and your PSA"..
Presumably covers just about everything, although any effects on your blood count would likely be long gone after 5 years I would imagine, but Im not an expert. I imagine the Hormonal Assay would be the more important one in this case? Hopefully somebody knowledgeable can chime in as I'm interested considering the age similarity.

Thanks for your reply bud. Just to clarify again this is not a post about "I cycled at a young age and didnt have many problems, so other young guys should consider cycling as well and wont have any problems either." Just giving an account of my experience and looking for some feedback about my health. I don't think you took it that way though, just want to be clear. Thanks again for the info on the different tests.

at this point the damage is done and you wont ever really know where you could have stood blood work wise right now.. IMO

Thanks for the reply porkchop. I realize that I can't do anything now to change damage that may have already been done. Based on the lack of problems and negative side effects up to this point, I would like to think that there wasn't any super serious damage done, even though like you said there is no way to be sure. I am more concerned about future problems that may arise, possibly identifying them some how, and doing anything that can be done to help prevent them. Thanks again for your insight.

You are not out of the woods yet! Sometimes problems dont start until 10 yrs down the road.

You owe yourself to see what your blood work looks like

thanks for your reply songdog. That is what I am worried about! Do you think there is a way to tell if that is going to happen such as blood work results, etc. or is there nothing I can do but just wait and hope? I know I messed up in my younger years but now I am older and smarter and am trying to do best by my body.

Hey cuz, thanks for your reply. That is my plan! Exactly which blood tests/panels would you recommend? Did Rossf cover all of them in his above reply?

The whole 9 yards. I think so. Full hormone panel and lipid panel. Im no expert, but Kel and a few others could tell you for sure. Might not hurt to check your kidney function too

Once I get all of this checked out and hopefully it all looks good, ill get back on here and propose the future cycle im thinking about, go over my stats, etc. so that I can get some feedback on that.

robb at the top of the HRT Forum is the Finding A Doc sticky thread. If you can try and obtain the entire first list of blood work as it includes everything you'll need. If you can't do this through insurance let me know and I'll pare it down for you pretty close to what Rossf suggested above with a couple additions.

Whats up kelkel, really appreciate your response. So I just read the sticky thread and the majority of the comments that followed. It has me thinking that my PCP probably doesnt know crap about HRT, but at this point I'm just looking to get the blood work done and then if needed I could find a more knowledgeable doctor on the subject. So here is the list of tests that I believe you were referring to that I should have done.
• Total Testosterone
• Bioavailable testosterone (aka Free and Loosely Bound)
• Free Testosterone
• SHBG
• DHT (gel users especially pay attention to this)
• Estradiol (specify “sensitive” assay for males)
• LH
• FSH
• Prolactin
• Cortisol
• Thyroid Panel (complete)
• CBC
• Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
• Lipid Panel
• PSA (age dependent)
• IGF-1, IGFBP-3 (if HGH therapy is being considered)
• Vitamin D
As far as insurance goes, I have pretty good insurance so I assume it would probably all be covered with a $10-15 copay. Can I just call up to the doctors office and tell them what insurance I have and the blood work that I am looking to get done, and they should be able to tell me whether it will cover it or not correct? Also can I ask them over the phone to order the blood work and then they send me to a lab or do I need to schedule an appointment to go in and see the doc and then tell him the tests I want to get done and then he orders it and sends me to a lab?
I know which tests I need to get done, now just need to know the first step in doing that. As far as calling the doctors office and asking about his HRT protocol, I dont believe I am to that point yet being that I dont even know if I have low test or not. Again, thanks a ton for taking the time to reply.

I dont think I was very clear on my last post. Im just not sure how to go about asking the doctor to order these different tests for me because I havent been experiencing any symptoms or problems to tell him about. I see it going like this, "Hey doc can you order me all of these different blood tests?" "Why do you want to have these tests ran, have you been experiencing any problems or symptoms?" "Uhh, no doc, just curious...." and then he blows me off because he doesnt think I need them because I have no reason to get them. Do I just bust out and say I cycled back when I was 19 and that I want to make sure everything is ok?

Not sure how your doc will respond. Odds are he's going to want to know why you feel you need them. One way may be to request a full physical and blood work to go with it. Tell him you feel "off" or something. I doubt a phone call would work.
My thoughts would be to use a self-pay source such as discounted labs dot com or private md labs dot com if you live in one of the states that allow this (the sites will answer this) to be done. Then just get some minimal testing done such as a hormone panel, Sensitive E2 assay, CBC, CMP, LH & FSH. Maybe this will give you peace of mind. My guess is that all is normal if you're not experiencing any type of sides.

So lets say I get the blood work done and everything comes back normal and I am completely healthy (I realize as said in the trt thread, normal is not the same for everyone but this is just in theory) can I assume that I lucked out and didnt screw up my endocrine system too bad or do I still need to worry about experiencing problems later down the road? Basically referring to what songdog posted earlier and what I have read many others say about sometimes people not experiencing problems until 10 years later. It seems unlikely that if everything is good now at 5 years later, backed by blood work, that a years from now without me doing anything else stupid to damage it, that it would all of a sudden get screwed up.
Thanks again KelKel, this should be my last question and again I really appreciate your time and knowledge on this matter. As far as the blood work and tests, I think I can take it from here.

The cycle you use is mild and at your age no problem bouncing back from it, Try another cycle maybe 300 mg test enth weekly with 200 mg tren enth weekly or 1 .5 ml ano mass weeklly you be fine on that
