    Sleep for growth?

I was wondering if anyone knew about how taking sleeping pills affects growth. I know muscles grow when you are sleeping, but how does taking sleeping pills play with that? Good, bad?
I mean, logically, I would think that it would hinder growth, because your metabolism more than likely slows down with the sleeping pills, but I am not sure if that is a good thing or bad. Please give your thoughts.

Are you wanting to know the effects of something like ambien or something natural like melatonin?

sleeping pills supress ur central nevous system i think, i wasnt aware that they altered ur metabolism, unless u are talking about stuff liek atavan or valium. if u mean simple stuff like gravol and melatonin (which keeps me awake) then i dont think they mess with ur growth. if ur young u should technically be able to sleep well. everynight 1 hr before bed i take 25 mg of gravol, not to put me to sleep, but to keep me asleep ! so i dont wake up after 6 or 7 hrs cause its a bitch to go back to bed !
