Odd T3 Question
I know you can take T3 to increase your metabolism to help burn fat. Is there something you can take to slow down your metabolism? An opposite to T3 to help with weight gain? Has anyone heard of such a thing?

A low dose of T4 will. Id have to get out my PDR to look up the hyperthyroid doses though. You can use it to treat hypo or hyperthrydroid condisions.
A smaller than natural dose will cause a shut down of TSH but the active dose in your body is lower than what is normally there so it essentially lowers your T4/T3 levels, although your really just on exengonous T4.

Why would you want to do this anyways? Even if you have super fast metabolism, you should be able to adjust your diet to gain weight. Was this just a hypothetical question?

I have hyperthyroidism. It's like naturally being on T3 so I tend to burn off everything. I take my meds for it and I eat constantly. I make gains but my gains are VERY slow even while on a cycle.
