how dangerous is high hematocrit?
i'm a 43 year old male on TRT
200mg test cyp weekly / 1000 hcg weekly
i just added a lil deca blast to my protocol, 400mg/weekly and i'm worried about its propensity to raise RBC
i generally hover around the low 50s with my hematocrit on my cruise protocol.
i phlembotomize as often as allowed. i take 81mg aspirin and red yeast rice too.
i also eat one whole grapefruit everyday. its supposed to help lower it too.
i feel like the other negative health side effects associated with AAS and TRT are chronic, long term risks.
things like HBP, cholesterol, liver and kidney damage, and the build up of arterial plaque,
but feel like hematocrit is the one thing that could kill you quickly. a sudden heart attack or stroke. i would prefer to avoid this.
i've seen several threads where Gearheaded debunks the hype over high hematocrit, saying that its normal and to be expected.
he elaborates further saying that its only a concern if your platelet count is also high.
this makes sense, but i've not been able to confirm his theory elsewhere.
does anyone have any anecdotal experience with this?
know anyone who suffered a heart attack or stroke that could be attributed to high hematocrit?
are my assumptions correct?
are his?

Not death directly and solely from high Hct, but some people have genetic conditions/ problems with their clotting cascade and they can be more prone to problems.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

I switched back to fish oil from aspirin
I do the same - oil changes every chance I get(blood donations)
+ all possible supplements
But, damn near no matter what - if you’re on roids constantly, you’re blood work will be a bit skewed

Staying hydrated also helps
I think coming off of everything for 1 month per year is a good habit also

1 month is definitely when i start to get miserable. The half life of enanthate is 14 days so a month is enough to clear most medium length compounds that we typically run. But your right it probably takes longer for bloods to start recovering.
Lets meet in the middle and call it 6 weeks (which will turn into 5 weeks)
