    Ventrogluteal Injection

Having a little soreness, might have hit a little low. No blood just a decent pinch once fully injected followed by soreness( haven't injected there in over a week). First time in over a year I have even noticed an injection. I don't think I hit my hip, I would think it would hurt a bit more. Any reason for concern here? Probably just in my head. Any input would be most appreciated. Thanks!!

A good rule of thumb is "high and to the outside", but of course, not outside far enough to hit your hip / hip joint space...

I am injecting with 3/4 inch darts, into my biceps and pecs, and it seems to work just fine...

You're probably fine. No lumps, no fever, no large red rash looking spot near the injection so I wouldn't worry much. You may have injected to fast causing some bruising.

Anyone here ever hit a nerve before? I heard it's very obvious and very painful, you wouldn't have to guess about it.
