Under the Knife - Gyno Removal

Thought I'd share my gyno experience to hopefully help others in the future. I've been on this forum for a while and have had many experiences with gear. I'd say number one, protect yourself from the start so you won't need to even consider this. I'm kicking myself for the high doses I used when I was in my 20's and did not PCT properly. So hopefully you find this helpful. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

    Stats:
    39 YO
    176lbs
    8% BF

In my 20's I went crazy and did numerous cycles of test at 1g or more, and experimented with a bunch of other PE's like Deca , Halo, EQ, Winstrol , Anadrol , Anavar etc. From age 24 to 26 I definitely abused them. Gains were awesome though. Never had any problems with gyno and would always use nolva when the sides would flare up and it worked great.

Well, fast forward 7 years and all of a sudden I developed gyno in both pecs. Not very noticeable but hurt bad and when I lifted my arms you could see the development of beautiful little tittes. It was pretty weird. I asked doctors about it and they said that its most likely not residual effects from earlier steroid use but tidbit have an explanation why it started now.

I started back up using low doses of test about 2 years ago (250mg week) and would add in in Deca, EQ, Mast, Primo here and there. I would take AI's and nolva to keep the gyno at bay. The gyno did end up getting larger anyway. So I decided to pay and get it removed. Ive spent most of life lifting and working out so I felt had to get it taken out for aesthetic purposes.

I searched around for a good surgeon. I got estimates from $5,200 to $14,000. I ended up going the least expensive route. The doc gave me his initial exam and squeezed my pecs and said "dude, thats a lot of breast tissue." Mind you my fiancé said she couldn't even tell it was there unless I lifted my arms. So I scheduled the surgery and was in and out in a day. The first day I bleed a good amount and had pain but it wasn't that bad. They gave me pain killers and a compression vest and was able to shower on day 2. Both pecs have massive bruising and my entire chest is swollen. But I can tell that they will look so much better in a few weeks.

Questions: Will the gyno grow back? They removed the entire gland so I heard it shouldn't but not quit sure I believe that. How long until I can lift chest agin? I figure I'll do cardio for the next two weeks and then feel it out.

My advise would be to always get bloods before and during and adjust your AI accordingly. I honestly love Nolvadex . It keeps the itchy nips down and the water retention but I think I'm a little old school on my thinking on this. Also, don't down play PCT if you don't Blast and Cruise. Most important piece to me.

Hopefully this helps. Im open to any questions. Thank you for all the great info over the years. Much appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum!

If you have any pre and post surgery pics it would be a great addition to the post and very educational to the members. Can it come back? Yes, but odds are very slim. I've read less than 10% or so if any glands were left behind. I would wait about a month to begin upper body training unless your doc says something different. Don't rush and screw something up!

Big fan of Nolva here as well. I run 10mgs daily on most all cycles.

    Thank you!

Yes, I will definitely gets some pics posted shortly. I think my next cycle I will really focus on dialing in an AI. That was my biggest problem. Thank you for the guidance.

This cost u how much?! Or, going to

I had mine done, it was cheap AF since we know the surgeon. Buuuuut, I might need a follow up surgery - these fuckers tried growing back(even after removal) - when I jumped on gear that made them flare before removal

I actually read the original post all the way through

Post pics - I’d love to see what 5k got you

I hope you got the Marena bra - it was def helpful

Watch em and make sure you don’t get water or blood pooling - that will have to be drained

Six weeks is how long I believe I waited before lifting again

But, yes - they can grow back

One of mine was fully removed, the other he had to leave a sliver of the gland so my nipple wouldn’t sink in

Both tried growing back when I jumped on gear that previously gave me issues before the removal

    Fuuuuck no!

My plastic surgeon guy said I can prob get them to cover a double mastectomy - but, that’s not exactly plastic surgery. It’s more like corrective surgery & I would def not like the results.

My nice guy research has shown that in the old school of bodybuilding mid to late 70s, early 80s,

running an a.i., or even nolvadex wasn't done by the old school bodybuilders like Frank Zane, Casey Viator (the 18 year old wonder kid).....Boyer Coe, etc etc

so...what's the deal with that? did they not have gyno problems?
was their idea of pct using lots of natural herbs like ginseng and doing deep knee bends which causes the groin to produce Test naturallly?

There was a muscle mag article that said smoking or ingesting cannabis (pot) and using juice increased the chances for gyno. I shit u not....

What did he say the results would've been like? Like pits where your nipples are?

Yup, I’d get a sunken nipple

Right now, I’m pulling my bf low(prob down to 8% flat or less) - then I’ll go from there

I’m not huge on lipo - so, I wanna see what I can do on my own 1st

My dude wanted to do my whole front end(lipo & remove the growths)- I said nah, just do the mastectomy & hope for the best

It ended up costing me about $4700 but they quoted me $5200. But I got 3 other estimates before and they were $10K, $12,500, and $14K. The surgeon was so inexpensive I was worried but he had fantastic reviews and been in business for over 20 years.

    Post pics man

I have a whole thread on mine here somewhere

Mine cost me a thousand bucks - but, like I said - I’m not ecstatic with my results.

They were bad. Always bigger internally than externally as well.
Thanks for posting that and hope you heal up perfectly!

The doc squeezed the tissue and said, "Wow, thats A LOT of breast tissue". My fiance said she could only see it when I lifted my arm. So ago with the analogy, golf ball on top, softball inside.
