Does propecia and rogaine really not do squat to fend off baldness from AAS?

Seems like most people say Test supp will make your hair fall out like crazy if it's already been falling out. I'd like to avoid that, but want to stop being 6' 170lbs.

DHT is becoming more and more thought of as the culprit in hair loss in those not predisposed to it. If you are predisposed, just accept it, because it is likely to happen at some point.

If you are not predisposed, and DHT is the culprit, then finasteride is your friend. Not all of us tolerate lower DHT well, so start with microdoses if bloodwork indicates DHT is a concern. You might also consider topical fina as it has been shown to lower serum DHT less, and scalp DHT more, than the oral.

In either case, it would not hurt to add rogaine, at least for a trial. I had good luck with it in the long long ago (aka the late 20th century), but gave up on the battle. I never had any negative sides.

I haven’t cycled in a min and I stopped taking finasteride after my last cycle. I was getting some hair loss on cycle even with the finasteride. Now I’m pretty much maintaining and only doing minoxidil once a day at best. Dermarolling in combination with minoxidil has been shown to work, but I stopped rolling after a couple of months. Kinda a pain having to so much to keep the hair. I will get back into it eventually.

I will agree with S&D, now looking back. Maybe it was just coincidence, but I remember suffering with some ED issues when I was on finasteride, to the point where even viagra/cialis didn’t work much.

Cyclon, I’m curious about this topical DHT. I’ll have to look into it. Maybe I can crush some of these pills and sprinkle them on my head like miracle grow.

Topical finasteride is a thing, and I have run across several DIY videos on it, IIRC. I was looking to make my own oral solution and every thing I found was on topical. I THINK you need dmso for topical, any 80+ liquor will do for oral. Though I should add, I used everclear for this last batch and it is a bit bitey!
