Hi guys,
BBQ season where I currently live usually ends around December 31 and starts up again on January 1. Yeah, not a very funny joke but very true. People around here BBQ regardless of weather, warm, cold, snow, rain, wind, storm, yeah, you name it and there will not be any excuse for not BBQing. This weekend is such a BBQ event and lot's of people I have not seen in a long time will come and it will, undoubtedly, be a food fest with everything under the sun served and consumed. Now, I could opt to not go and be a major party pooper and miss out on friends I have not seen in a long time. This do not seem like a good option in my mind. So, how can I attend and still, somewhat, adhere to my diet? This question boggles my mind. Without going to deep into it I have a problem when it comes to eating to much. I simply do not know when to stop and just keep eating. Staying on diets is my way of simply not ballooning completely out of control. Granted I have a specific goal at this time but still, I will always have to control my eating.
So is there a solution to this problem? Loading up with tons of healthy foods and overeating on healthy stuff is one way I am considering. One thing I will not do is eat sweets because once I start there is simply no stopping and the same with beer. I think if I load up with vegetables and chicken I can eat and still not have my body be thrown completely out of whack.
I hate that I must put so much thought into it at all. If I could simply go, eat some of everything without overeating it would be great but for some reason my mind do not operate like that. Like I keep repeating in this blog, the main problem doing what we all strive to achieve is pure damn mental control and everything else comes second.
Staying strong!
