This could go on forever just like the Gracie coloum, my main point is, take a look at say the fastest man in the 70's and then in the 90's or in the new year, he is faster, same goes with the strongest man, and so on, athletes from different era's cannot compete with the nutrition, training knowledge and performance enhaning drugs of todays world.

Bruce Lee was a sicko, I read an article in Time saying he had all these out of court settlements and child raping allegations.

Bruce would see kimbo and be like " You must teach me your ghetto-fu so that I may become a warrior like you " and kimbo would eat bruce lee...

bruce will not have the power to hurt kimbo unless he gets some kind of eye jab thing going. hard to do when a much taller, stronger opponent is throwing fast powerful accurate shots at you.

    tall order for bruce.
Bruce Lee easily, I see NO skill in kimbo fighting style at ALL! First he's very ridgid looking, and pretty much needs to square his shoulders up to throw a punch. 2. Of course he like no kicking and no ground fighting, his stance has no defence against lower body kick's as well as wresiling. So how would bruce win against a guy that big, easily just keep away from him and swing kick him in the knee cap until timber. I've seen several smaller guy's do this to larger guy's in UFC and all they could do was sit back and watch. Sooner or later I thought there would be a fighter like kimbo, their's vintage car's and Vintage clothes, hell why not have a vintage fighter, maybe he could wear a leather jacket and come out snapping his finger's to the stray cat's before his fights

boxing has it's obvious limitations, but bruce himself rated it as one the most effective styles he had ever encountered, and incorporated it's punches and footwork into jeet kune do.

kimbos ability to defend takedowns is unknown, but bruce came from the era before the ground game was highly developed. he was actually something of a pioneer, but his ground game was almost entirely escapes, so he is no danger to kimbo in that respect.

you charted out a very good strategy for lee to fight kimbo, but lee discovered muay thai very late in his life, so it is doubtful that his thai kick was as highly developed as his other moves. run and gun is harder than it looks against a skilled opponent, and kimbo is much more athletic than paul varelans.

the thai kick is also becomes much harder to use when your opponent is so much taller his punches outrange your kicks.

Actually the footwork in JKD comes from fencing, not boxing.

He wasnt very found of Muay Thai maybe the fighters there wherent very hard hitters or something or sloppy or wasnt comlicated enough like in history but he wasnt very fond of it as linda desribes in one of his documentrys.
He also thought the western style was so lacking which is what chuck was studying with a few broken forms added in when they hooked up.

Id say Bruce for one he could hit hard his best quality aside from form two he just needs to avoid a solid hit definatly.

I must say I'm really surprised that so many of you fellas are on the Bruce Lee band wagon! Not that he was'nt a great fighter, student and embassador of the MMA's, but there are guys in his own weight class today that would pound the sh*t out of his overrated aasss..If the likes of Gene Labell but him on the canvas and submitted him, just think of what some of the MMA fighters of today would do to him? Kung Fu Jeet ken do
No disrespect to all you wooden dummy hitting mo'fos!

Well I have meet 5 of Bruces students and trained with a few of them, they never saw him in a street fight, and this is the inner circle of his boys. He did get into fights on movie sets. There was a 1 millon dollar contract (in China) if ya could beat him, no one collected and many tryed. The rape thing is a joke right?

    Peace,

Bruce easily. I would apologize in advance to Kimbo for the beating he would take. Think about how Roy Jones easily beat John Ruiz then multiply Jones speed and power by five. And yes, I know jones got Ko'd twice later but he wasn't the same Jones as early in his career.
