The Ultimate Fighter
Does anybody have an inside line on who wins the big fight next Monday night, between Chris and Josh? I know Chris has been a D**K for most of the show, but Josh and Bobby should not have put the hose on him when he was outside. Josh also ran and hid from Chris. What a p***y! I will say one thing, those are the cockiest bunch of dudes around. I couldn't live with that many people as cocky as I am. I hope Chris wins and sends Josh home to wrestling practice.

The results are a closely guarded secret, even the fighters cannot talk about it even though the fight has already went down.
So i guess we will have to stay tuned.

I hope josh is the one who wins, even though i think chris is funny and charismatic

It should be a good fight, I would like to see Chris win. What about the Couture/Lidell fight, that is going to be great.

i pick diego. I've been training with him for about 3 years and he's one tough mofo.

I have heard through my local rumor mill that Leben wins the contract for his class. I heard this from a friend who fights in a local show here(Utah). Like I said this is from the rumor mill soo... I guess we will see next week if this is closer to the truth. Though this didnt really help but I posted what I know to maybe be an "inside line"

I actually heard that Josh won the contract. I've heard this from 2 separate people, both pretty reliable sources.

That fight just sucked...
-
02-21-2005, 11:12 PM #9
who won that fight
-
02-21-2005, 11:14 PM #10
Chris is a striker and he was to afraid to strike!
Then he sucked ass on the ground....those were some weak attempts for a kimora.
I am VERY disapointed with the show!
on another note, I am a little pissed about how some of those fags on chucks team are dissing Randy. That is total bullsh1t.
If those pussies all amounted to the talent Randy has in his fingernail then they should be happy.
Those disrespectful punks piss me off!

Yeah, the fight was pretty weak. I agree with the decision of Josh winning the fight, but again, it was pretty weak.
Next week is probably going to be a weak fight too. Obviously it goes to a decision because there was the clip of Dana saying "I thought it was a draw". Oh well.

I love the show, but I gotta agree with everything else you said bro...
Pretty much summed it up perfect I think...

After thinking about it I don't think Chris was afraid, but to careful and
was probably told to come out and be control at first and that set the
tone for the fight, he should have come out throwing like he planned...
And Diego beats Josh, no doubt in my mind... He's on another level...

Well ok maybe I over reacted, the show is interesting to watch.. I was just very dissapointed with both the fights. But I am still dissapointed with the show overall though, so it doesnt suck completely. I thought they would have shown them doing many other things. But I think they were trying to make it viewer friendly and mainstream, kind of like when they make a movie of a comic where all the comic fanatics are so excited to see the movie and get let down in the end, but the people that never read the comics thought the movie was good.
I dont understand why they let them have alcohol in the house if they were restricted from everything else?
And it seemed like chris gave the dude to much respect for his ground game. he wasnt scared of josh, he was scared of him stalemating him on the ground, and I think he beat himself before he even faught the fight, I could see it when he was talking and how he acted before. Kind of like Tito when he faught Chuck.
That is why ground game is so important. I think it makes the striker an even better striker, cuz if you are confident on the ground then you can cut loose and throw whatever the hell you want and not worry about the takedown or what the guy will do on the ground, that is what works for me at least. It sucks when you are restricted.
That is why Randy whoops up on everyone, cuz not only does he own the takedowns and the ground but he out punches and out kicks the guys who are supposed to be strikers and I think a good part of it is cuz he knows they have to worry about both with him and he doesnt have to worry about weaknesses on his part.
Same with wandi but he is a little different. None the less both are champs and very good champs indeed, and both are very well rounded.

Im happy Leben went hope.
hes a tool. maybe a good fighter but has no class and a huge cry baby.
show sucks, but i still watch

Diego would beat Josh. Josh is a wrestler, and if he tried the same thing that he did with Chris on Diego then he would get tapped out. He looked very sloppy as far as arm positions were against Chris, not to mention all the openings chris gave him with his sloppy defense on the ground.
I was not expecting Chris to come out so supper conservative like that, it seemed like it was one of his first fights where he was still working out ring jitters or something. He did not look like someone who was 18 and 1.
But you never know, maybe it was the fact that so much was riding on this fight, he was on national television, and he was fighting in front of Dana, Randy, Chuck and God knows who else. I could see that effecting him very much especially since he has shown how immotionally unstable he is.

I think with Tito its either an act or he has an alter personality when he is in the ring.
Chris seems like he has some issues!Last edited by phwSSJ; 02-22-2005 at 03:17 PM.

Personally I think Tito's knows to make the big $ he needs to be
the guy that you love to hate... And I think to do what these guys
do you need to have some kind of alter personality or ego anyway...
Tito has the mental part down as well as anyone, that's as important
as physical... So does Randy and Chuck, you can see the guys that
have that mental edge...

you guys see that bullsh*t fight last night. bobby got robbed. decently fought.
***i bet i know who is coming back....leben. nate's mri will show he needs surgery and be off the show and hell ask for leben to take his place!!!!

Chris is coming back next week so it seems... lol
I guess they figured it would be good for ratings
Plus I know Randy knew the guy way before the show...
Can't wait to see how Josh reacts next week... LMAO
I'm guessing that Nat Quarry finds out he has some tendon
or ligament damage in his ankle, pretty clear he does, same
type of injury like in the NFL when someone rolls over your leg
and damages your ankle and he probably can't finish the show,
so they need to bring someone back... That's gonna be some
good TV drama... lol
-

IMHO even though Bobby did more damage Stephan took the fight to
him, just like in boxing where the aggressor wins points if he's always
moving ahead... I know one thing Stephan took some good shots and
never really looked hurt... I thought he won the fight without any doubts...
Bobby didn't look as sure of himself after landing a few bombs and dude
was still standing there in his face and coming inside... Just my opinion...
And yeah pretty clear Chris is coming back... Should be good...

i think they should change the rules where if it isnt a UNAMIOUS decision after 2 rounds it should go to 3.
i feel like they just make up the rules for the show as they go along.
whats the point of making teams when you just keep switching them around anyway??
very unorganized imo
-
03-01-2005, 10:01 AM #26
Yeah I agree with you bro, but I think it comes down to them trying to
fit enuf set-up and the fight into a 1 Hour show which is only 40-42mins
with commercials anyway... I hate the decisions too...

i agree that bobby was in worse shape.
but bobby landed that right hook (or left?) in 2nd round and stephen was definately dazed. you could see him staggering. if bobby had the heart or stamina to finish him off he woulda kept attacking but instead he backed off and only got in 2 or 3 good shots then.
still cant leave it in judges hands.
i think diego and koscheck will fight in middleweight finals.
i dunno about light heavyweights, forest looks like hed kill someone, but cant tell cause he never fought yet.
that sam fag looks like a b*tch ass fag. i hope he gets his teeth knocked in.

I had a idea Stephan was a tuff bro, but he really took some major shots
and kept moving forward taking the fight to Bobby and I'm glad he won
because that Bobby is a punk ass bitch weather he can fight or not...
I think Bobby without a doubt caused more damge, but Stephan had to
gain some respect from all the light heavies with how he took Bobby's
best shots... I'm just wondering what's gonna happen next week with
Bobby going off on Dana??? That **** looked interesting... I was hoping
someone would beat Bobby's ass and get him off the show...

I was wondering do you think chriss may have thrown the fight knowing hed be back on the show ?
then again he could have just lost without trying to loose i still see it as a little suspicious who knows it would be great for rating alone if that was the case.
Bobby does let something slip about chris may still be problem later ?

I agree with buff's take on the fight.
I think next monday will be very interesting.
I am glad that little b--ch bobby is gone!
It does seem as though they are putting the show together in an unorganized manner. For those first two fights, if I was Dana, I would have been like...
"ok, stop stop, yall are fkn boring, we are gona do the fight again, this time make it interesting or we will replace you!"
I still dont know how some of those fighters made it on that show. Its ridiculous!
-
03-03-2005, 02:44 AM #34
My favorite fighter on there is Forrest.
Not cuz I think he is the best but cuz he is sitting back and watching all this **** go down and acting cool about it. Then in the interviews he tells it like it is. Seems like a cool cat!
For some reason I feel like there is gona be a surprise guest on the show or something.
You know someone like Ken Shamrock.
Even if they dont I think it would be a great Idea.
Shi1t, it was guys like Joyce and Ken that made the UFC.
If it wasnt for them we would still be seeing guys comming in with one boxing glove, and
people trying to use the "death touch", kung fu vs. taekwondo, and stupid sht like that.
The UFC and the whole MMA world owes both of them a lot, I mean A LOT!!!

03-03-2005, 08:43 AM #35
No he didn't throw the fight IMHO, but he does train with Team
Quest Randy's team and Randy has been in his corner at some WEC
fights, so they knew each other well way before that show... I think
Randy's opinion carries alot of weight in the UFC and they are looking
for the best figther, not trying to follow some craved in stoned TV
shows rules, so I think he is coming back this week for sure... I still
think Diego is the most skilled in his weightclass on the show though...
But I want to see something good on Monday nights with Football
over for the year so I'm hoping he is back...

FINALLY a good ass whuppin!
I like Diego, he is definitly one of the few that deserves to be on the show.
HE is acting like a true warrior.
Still wanna see Forrest in action.
The rest of the show not as controvercial as I thought it would be.
Nothing came out of Bobby mouthing off to Dana,
and nothing much from Chris L. returning.
Too bad we didnt get to see what Nate was made of.
He was crying, I probably would have as well!
That really sucks, Injuries fkn suck, injuries fkn really suck.
Hey did I mentiion that injuries SUCK!
To me, it seemed as though that accident should never have happened.
I would have thought that someone like Randy would have been able to judge how close they were together.
From looking at it over and over, They were already too close, and when Randy went for the take down he drove and drove till they fell over Nate's ankle.
Dont get me wrong, I have all the respect in the world for Randy, but as a coach and someone of his level, I think that could have been prevented.
Everyone makes mistakes though.
I would rather eat the asshole out of a skunk then suffer an injury that would bench me for a season.

Lat nights fight
Are you kidding! Diego looked like the man to beat last night. If I had been fighting him it would have lokked just as bad or maybe worse. He just dominated. How was Josh R picked to be on the show. I felt that he didn't want to fight in the 1st place. You pick the best guy, I will respect you for that, but it didn't look like he belonged in the ring with any of the guys we have seen so far. I definatly think Diego will win in the middlewieghts. I know if I was on the show(not that I can fight) and I had to pick somebody to fight, I would not have used the excuse that these guys are my friends. I know that they all stayed together, but being a fighter, in the UFC, means fighting anybody at anytime. Chuck and Randy are getting ready to fight and they look like friends on the show. I just think it was a lame excuse to not fight the other Josh or the other guy. If Josh R was as bad a puncher as they made it seem, I think he could have handled Josh K. We will se what happens next week. Peace!!!!

Diego came to bring the pain...
I love a dude that fights like that... Poor Josh was so overmatched it
wasn't even funny... I felt bad watching him get beat that bad... He
looked like he didn't even know anything on the ground and let Diego
get full mount right away... No Defense at all going on, just covered up
as soon as he started getting hit...

Yeah, its official. Diego is a badass. He worked Josh over like a two dollar whore. Im sure he would whip my ass, but how in the hell did he even make it on the show? Way too timid. The only move he made in the fight was in the fetal postion.
