Go to sherdog.com and order the Bas Rutten DVDs its all you really need. The guy is amazing and is a great student of the game.

I got is fight career on 3 dvds at home and he explains what he did why he won the fight and why he lost and not to make the same mistakes and learn.

He also has a complete set of dvds for training and learning, great stuff

    bas

i agree with yannik. bas is funny as f*** and he is really onto what matters. street fighting!! his conditioning tapes are really good. they will certainly keep ya in shape! all depends on what style of fighting you adapt when fighting..slower paced fighters who like punching to get the takedown and use submissions will obviously gain more from a sperry tape! i myself love striking and benefit from bas!

If you are a striker, I would recommend Bas Rutten's instructional DVD's. There may have been better strikers but none better from a coaching standpoint, IMO. He can, also, apply it to the streets (Street Fighting Self-Defense) and to the average Joe (MMA Workouts).

    MMA instruction

Nothing beats the feeling of stepping into the dojo and getting your teeth kicked in for the first time. Ain't nothing like showing up to work with a black eye and barely being able to move. LOL!!

Find a local instructor and go.
I think that's the best way to get started.
    Forget the DVDs.
    Trust me
