Pride Open Weight Grand Prix thoughts

I just want to gain everyones thoughts on the OWGP, I was very impressed that the best card I have seen on paper turned out so well, I think out of 9 total fights 7 were above and beyond what I expected. The drama of Crocop winning finally, The return of Shogun and him being knocked down and almost out only to come back and stomp his way to victory the Chute Box Way, Teammate vs Teammate with Alex and Sergei with both being knocked down with huge shots, Barnett vs nog was a BJJ ground fighters dream with multiple sub attempts and reversals. I was more impressed with this show than any I have seen in quite a long time. Any others feel this way?

The most supriseing thing of the night of course for me was not seeing Wanderlei lose, just how he lost was shocking but just makes me like him even more. You got to have some ****ing balls man to step up into Pride's HW division, goddamn those guy's are killers.

And another thing to note, i don't care who CroCop would have fought last night, he would **** them all up, it was his night as he walked through everybody.

We damn well could be seeing a new HW champ come NYE.

great show, crocop was on that night, silva showed his warrior heart, Barnett showed he was not washed up, Shogun did his thing and always has a great game plan,Nog did his thing dropped to number 3 in the rankings. Great card

To be honest even I felt a little bit misty when they put the belt around crocops waist and he broke down, it was great to see a fighter who never shows emotion break down in a very human moment. Another thing that impressed the hell out of me is Hw Alexanders hands kepp getting faster and faster. If he gets his training up to par so he doesnt gas he will give his brother a run for his money IMO!
