Water is all you need IMO. If you are damn near ready to pass out then grab some Gatorade or whatever.

Also maybe have a pro/dex shake. I will look into this more when i start training Muay Thai soon.

Man i appreciate those comments, i feel like an idiot it has been so long since i was on the mat. I thought about posting my thoughts recently, basically i am tired of this bodybuilding lifestyle (it's not me and i am losing motivation lately) and am wanting to get back to training, my god its killing me.

I am about 90% sure i will train strictly Muay Thai since i have trained BJJ since 1999. I need to give up my gym membership first, i can't afford to do both and i would choose MMA over this bodybuilding bullshit anyday.

I trained some MT in the past but not strictly. We had a MT guy and he helped us all during our Vale Tudo classes and we helped him on wrestling and BJJ stuff. I think MT is one of the most brutal Martial Arts there is and i am definately getting psyched thinking about training under this guy from Thailand. Gonna go check the school out ASAP.

I lift to become a better fighter looking good is just a side effect. I have learned so much and love this place but the fighting forum will always be where I spend most of my time

I learned about this chick that is a little bad ass MT fighter. They also have some BJJ (not a Black Belt) so i might be ableto help out who knows. A who's who list of people have trained under Saekson Jinjira, check out the video of pics.

Pete Spratt, Mo Smith, Bas Rutten etc..

It is a 2:1 ratio of protein to carbohydrates.

    IE: 40g Protein/80g Dextrose

Dextrose is nothing more than Corn Sugar and is used by many as a PWO (Post Workout) shake to shuttle nutrients into the muscle as fast as possible to aid in recovery.

you might even wanna pound your sex shake immediately, then drink a protein shake a half hour later. sometimes after rolling i can get kind of shakey like when you bonk running. carbs alone will get absorbed a little faster.
