UFC & PRIDE A Quiet War Is Raging On The Streets Of Las Vegas

Word on the street is that the UFC has been pulling in all sorts of favors around Las Vegas regarding making it difficult for PRIDE to come to the U.S.A...They have quietly issued demands to people in the industry, "If you help PRIDE, You are no longer our friend"...The latest road block is Work Visa's for PRIDE employee's...

Apparently, some of the UFC's "friends" work in very high places, and have been effectively blocking the issuance of VISA's for anyone related to PRIDE...And they are being very effective, word is they have already effected PRIDE's Real Deal Fight Card in a negative way with this tactic.

Also, word is, this type of quiet attack will continue, From the top, all the way down to Hotel & Car Rental reservations around Las Vegas for PRIDE employee's...

One person involved was quoted as saying "If Sakakibara doesn't have sugar for his coffee, it will be our fault..."

More news to come as it surfaces.

yea, then both sides make an insane amt. of money and everybody goes home happy. i have no idea why they wont do this??? just have both sides build it up for 6months or so and guarenteed everyone on earth who gives a fvck about mma will watch it. can anyone think of a reason why they wouldnt do this?

if it is ever proven that ufc is trying to sabatoge pride from coming to the US i will lose a lot of respect for them.

Dana White has got to be one of the most idiotic control freaks ever, he wants the whole world to believe the UFC is the only source for MMA and will do everything in his power to make sure the general population does not find out about Pride, Cage Rage etc.

It is pathetic to watch him at press conferences, he is so insecure in his product that he never mentions Pride or that this particular fighter that he just signed had been fighting in Pride, instread he say's "He has been fighting overseas" and the biggest one was "I want you to meet a friend of mine, Wanderlei Silva will you come up here please". What happened to "Ladies and gentleman i would like to introduce to you Pride Middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva"..noooooo it would have killed him to show that kind of respect.

The reason i make a big deal out of it is because Pride has always shown UFC fighters respect when in Japan and have had Tito & Couture enter the ring and hand flowers to the fighters and Chuck and Randy commentated fights and were called "champ" and were wished good luck in their next fights. Would we ever see a Pride fighter or a Pride champion commentating a UFC fight? **** no because they are to insecure in their product...

Now i do realise that there is more to the reason why we have not seen Pride vs UFC matches and it does come from both sides and in reality the biggest thing holding this back besides the two organizations are the rules..there are to many differences and they will need to come to terms on what set of rules they should fight under.

Dan Henderson was on Beatdown this week and suspected the rules were a big reason why this has never happened and feels it depends on the fighter who will be successful under Pride or UFC rules (IE: He feels Tito would not do well under Pride rules with knees, soccer kicks and the ring).

Maybe one day this will happen, until then i would like to see Dana take the tampon out of his ass and lighten up, if your product is truly as good as you think it is, it will speak for itself and there is no reason to avoid mentioning Pride or other organizations.
