Fighters Diet
So i am weighing in at 180 at the moment, and am fightin on Dec. 16 at 165. This is my first fight, (my original first fight got cancelled in the early stages of the 6 week training period). Now, I am worried that i may have committed myself at a weight that is too low. I do a run, a muay thai workout, and i drop a few pounds, but then I gain it right back. Im eating Egg whites for breakfast, chicken with veggies lunch, handful of trail mix snack, cup of oats pre workout, and soe fish and veggies after a night of training. is 15 pouns doable?
thanx

Some fighters can drop 10 pounds a day if they really want. It'll be tough be you can do it man just keep training and eating right and it'll happen.

Well you will most likely weigh more than normal after a workout. Yes man you'll be fine but you gotta work hard to make weight. Diet and cardio are the main things to losing weight (im sure you know that though).

Where u fighting?
Where in Canada are you fighting?
What organization?
Reply to response...I watched Mac Danzig lose 8lbs on the day of his weigh in's in less than 4 hr prior to his pre-fight interview.
He put on his Sauna suit. Brought a stationary bike into the sauna. 4 liter bottle of water.
"PRESTO_CHANGE-O"!!
Well, I was there when he weighed before the sauna 163lbs.
Once he completed his routine he stepped back on the scale at 155lbs.
He then went on to clobber John Mahlow.
Eat clean prior to your event maintain your muscle with apropriate servings of protein. Early morning cardio sessions work well. Kick starts your metabolism for the day. Drink plenty water using a good diuretic, Clen , fat-burner and then 2 days to the event do a carb-depletion. Sauna suit training and little trick 1 bottle of "fleet oral laxative" be by the toilet it's going to be a shit abyss.
Weigh In. Make weight. Eat like a horse. Gain your weight back. Kill your opponent.
Good Luck!

I would start talking to wrestlers about weight cutting that way you do it right.
If you are 180 at 6 weeks out, you should have no problem making 165lbs, try ot get as low as you can with diet/training and then "cut" the rest. You should only have to cut around 8-10lbs at most IMO. Diet is definately going to be your maker or breaker.
Remember the sauna and suit and definately buy some
This way you will rehydrate and get your electolytes back in order.***No source checks!!!***

Be careful cutting man I overdid it once... I lost the weight but I felt like shit the day of the fight despite pedialyte and all that other stuff. Like everyone else said lose everything you possibly can with diet and training. You would rather be saying you lost too much because you only need to cut 4-5lbs than trying to cut 12 pounds a couple days out...
Oh and get pedialyte right near the baby food in wal mart or in the pharmacy department. they have the same thing for old people in different flavors if thats a concern for you.
