Come into a fight without being in shape is a bs way to lose a fight, and Diaz took some punishment as evidence by the gashes on his mug, but never stopped punishing gomi and finished it in nice fashion.

Well I agree, however we still have to wonder what it would be like if Gomi was in shape since he can knock him out at anytime look at the first luiz Azerado fight. The rematch will be the true test for diaz.

Yep, that'll be good to see, Diaz has always been a favorite of mine, he's trains about 30 minutes away from my home and he looks like my youngest son. (gotta a soft soft)...he seems like a good kid, I like seeing him do well. On a fighting note, he never backs down in stand up and has decent Bjj. I would like to see him pick up his pace a bit however.

I think the 160 pound class fits Diaz perfectly. His type of frame you can tell is hard to put muscle on. I hope he does well also.

Yeah I think that's a good weight for him at his current age, if he stays in the game we'll probably see his weight increase over the years.

Gomi was not the same Gomi ... he was gassed from the get go

Diaz did endure a lot of damage ... and also was laying the leather on Gomi ... his submission was incredible ... so fast and flawless
