overall mma rankings
I would like to hear everyone's opinion on how Hendo's victory over Silva affects the overall mma rankings. Obviously hendo is the best 185 pounder in the world. What i want to know is how silva's loss affects people's perception of him being the best 205'er in the world. IMO Liddell takes the #1 ranking without a doubt.
I also think it can be argued that if silva would have stepped into the octagon with liddell and fought like he did on saturday, liddell would have ko'd him faster than hendo did. Silva looked awful. I think the cro-cop loss really shook his confidence.
What do you guys think?

Its hard to know what goes on in a fighters head, i mean some have suffered some devastating losses and come back stronger.
Has for Silva he has been losing a bit more then usual, i havent seen the fight on Saturday so i cant really comment on the way he fought.
Lets just hope he will not turn into a lame Vitor Belfort.

A loss to cro-cop shouldn't shake anyone's confidence. He's simply to dangerous to assume you're going to win the fight, no matter who you are. I personally think he's just shot.

Wandy won there first fight at Pride 20 he dominated on the ground.
CroCop suffered 2 losses in a row , one to Fedor and to Mark Hunt, after that he came back real strong.
I dont know how Wandy confidence is right now.
I cant wait to see Pride 33 looks to be a very good PPV

I'm not an expert in MMA, but I'm a huge fan. I'm more knowledgeable about boxing. With that said, Sugar Shane Mosely lost twice to Vernon Forrest and came back to beat De La Hoya and just about everyone else afterwards. I know you can't directly compare the two sports, but I like to think that a fighters mentality translates equally between the both sports. I think Wandy overlooked Hendo, thinking that someone smaller could ever beat him. I still think he is the #1 205er because of the level of competition he fights. The slight on Liddel is he doesn't have the same level of competition as Wandy. I don't know, like I said, I'm no expert in MMA.

I think only time will answer this question. Maybe Wandi springs back in 6 mons or a year better than ever... Maybe he turns into belfort and is washed up forever.. Who knows... It's why we watch bros lol
