RJJ is one of the greatest boxers that ever lived. In his prime, he could match up with and beat just about anyone between 168-175lbs.

His natural ability was unlike anything that had ever come before, or has since.

I have been in around boxing gyms since I was 10 years old. (Pretty much my whole life), Im now 27. I have never seen another fighter with Roy's pure natural talent in that weight class. I have watched every single one of his Televised fights from the time he came out of the Olympics... Same for Hopkins, DLH, Trinidad, PBF, Wright... all of the fighters from this generation.

I love B-Hop... But he would hsvr NEVER been able to handle RJJ in his prime. Roy beat him one handed....easily. It really wasnt all that competitive.

Hopkins has had better longevity than RJJ, but that is about it.

PBF has tremendous natural gifts... when all is said and done, he could be the best p4p fighter ever. (Even though I personally dislike him).

Pu'leeezzzzeeee...... Jones would have embarassed him. Duran lost to freakin Vinny Paz!!!! TWICE!!!!!

RJJ fought Paz and recorded the first ever (compubox scored) round where a fighter didnt land ONE SINGLE PUNCH. It was a joke.

I live right down the road from Mr. Floyd Boudreaux. I actually have the last male born on his yard. A hot little barn stormer. I've been knowing Guy and Mr. Floyd for about 11 years.

I have met them once (back in '99). Very nice guys. I love those pure Eli/Bolio crosses. Game as hell. I have seen more then a few scratch when they shouldnt have.

Yea, my eli and boudreaux dogs are quick starters with alot of mouth but they gas pretty quick. I like crossing them with some of Tom Garner's dogs to get a little more wind. I've got one litter of yearlings right now and every female is hot already, just waiting on a few males that are still cold. There were some of the last guys that still breed for gameness instead of athletic ability. But even their curs are some rough dogs.

He may not be the best boxer of all time, but he will go down in history as the best rapper of all time.

Roys the man. Period. He went undefeated for 16 years and was the only man to catch all ( except cruiser, theres no money there ) belts from JUNIOR middle weight up to the Heavyweight belt. Who can top that? Please dont talk about the man because he isnt 100% the fighter he use to be. You''d fade to if you spent 16 years eating caviar and whooping everybody's ass in 5 weight divisions. The man got bored and should have retired after beating TARVER.

    re

Personally I had never really liked Roy Jones Jr either. But yes he was a great fighter.

However, I do admire him for helping him set up a foundation for the G-man, Gerald McClellan.

i guess he likes Roy. Do you like Roy because he was a great fighter in his prime or because he held on to long and is now a punchline?
