Tito Fires Back At Dana White...

Knowing the UFC's penchant for showmanship, who knows what is occuring in this "grudge." It is becoming as transparent as WWE wrestling's attempt at drama.

I agree with Tito 100%. I don't know why the people knock Tito for being a shit talker. Many, if not most good fighters talk lots of shit. As long as they back it up, I see no problem with it. He has to look out for himself, because lord knows promoters or fighting organizations don't have much of a track record for taking care of fighters. So more power to Tito and I hope he continues to do what he does!!!

alot of people (including myself) believe tito is a good fighter however, his conduct especially when he wins is embarrasing. whenever tito wins a fight he goes into some kind of victory dance where he lays down sand or a blanket or something i dont know and then he pulls both hands out of his sides like a gun and gives two fingers to his defeated apponate. anyone who has ever taken any kind of martial art (whatever it is) knows that the first thing you learn when you step into the dojo is RESPECT!!! for your teacher, classmates, yourself and your opponate. tito did not do this, thats why he will always rub me the wrong way.

thats not what im saying, everyone is entitled to celebrate and cheer for their own victory. -what tito does is stick in their face, i have yet to see tito win a fight and walk over to his opponent and shake his hand.

Can't compare the two. Two different backgrounds and raised in two different cultures. Eastern Europeans from the former Soviet bloc are known for the stoic behaivor. Guys from Cali, especially from Tito's area, they are not known for that. All I got to say is, the probably two some of the greatest boxers of all time were the most flambouyant... Muhammed Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard. So for every 'all business' fighter, I can name a outspoken one that was great as well. To me it's all about the entertainment factor in the sport. While guys like Fedor or CroCop are great to watch in the league, it's hard to follow those guys because they have zero personality.Last edited by BgMc31; 04-24-2007 at 01:26 PM.

Part of being a great fighter is selling tickets. It may not be the true path of the warrior, but it is a paying business. If I'm getting busted in the head I want as much doe as possible.

I can understand both sides. As a practitioner I prefer the more respectful, business-like fighters. As a viewer I can dig the extra excitement from the more flamboyant guys. If I had to pick one, I still go with whomever puts it down in the ring/octagon.
