I'm no huge Belfort fan but he got bent over and rammed raw in that decision. He did give up the 3rd round I will admit.

the truth is everyone wants to see the old vitor, why? simply because he was a phenom! can he be what he used to be? yes and no, just like matt hughes says, " its 50#50, 50 percent skill and 50 percent mental" he has the talent but his mental ability is soo ****ed! if he has finally learned anything at all he will come in mentally prepared with his past put away behind him and hopefully we can see the old vitor.

Plus, back in 1998 when Vitor was pounding people. Those guys had little to no skill.
The playing field has more than evened out now and he breaks mentally.***No source checks!!!***

agreed.. the people in the game today have SOOO much more talet and training than anything in the 90's. with the explosion of MMA it has been really a boon for the fan since you get to see so much more technique and gameplan unfold instead of fatass Tank Abbot pounding people like the fat guy on Mike Tyson's Punchout on old skool Nintendo!

I was ring side at his last fight and to say it was less than entertaining is an understatement.
It dont show it on youtube but you can actually hear me shouting in the second round.
The crowd was very quiet and i waited till it was silent then i shouted "go on Tito" (wonder if Vitor thought WTF?) was not as if he was locked in a ground n pound, he spent most of the fight just sizing up his opponent.
I have since heard that vitor started the fight with a hand injury though. perhaps this is true, he said that he didnt want to say anything in the build up of the fight in case it gave his opponent the edge.
Vitor is a good fighter and i really like him but he is nothing to what he was.
I think Tito will beat him again.
One thing for sure is, you cannot say he is on gear now!!

Everyone that has followed MMA througout the years knows that Vitor is his own worst enemy. To tell you the truth, he has fought just about every main champ... When the octogon had the mult-fight elimination, Randy Couture barely beat Vitor, and I think if Vitor wasn't as tired he would have won, but he gassed out. Saying that todays talent is much better is just a jealous haters statement to me and you lose credibility by saying it, because it is obvious that it is not true. The dude was trained by the Gracie's and has fought every big name in the game... the main reason he lost any of those fights is his mental state... He has never even been dominated by anyone (including every big name fight) and really only lost when everyone is saying WTF, this isn't the Vitor I know???
As far as him coming back to old form.... doubt it... who does after this many years....but the thing is, you can never count a dude out that has shown that much skills.
