Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter’s income. They also do not include any bonuses paid to some of the main-card fighters who sometimes earn a small cut of pay-per-view revenue. They also do not include other non-disclosed/“locker-room” bonuses the UFC sometimes pays.
When GSP's contract is up for renegotiation he better be in the Chuck/Randy/Tito territory. Not only is he a fan favorite but a great embassador to the sport.

Boxing is over a hundred year old sport, while MMA is just around 10-12 years old. Top pro fighters will be making millions by 2015 just wait you'll see...

You should take the bold statement back... Boxers get jaws broken, face/cheek bones broken, ribs broken, knuckles broken, internal bleeding, face busted open... ears bitten off(oops, that doesn't count), and have even died in the ring, etc.... so let's not go there...

yes, I was shocked to know how small the purse is on the big name fighters... there is a lot of cash flowing and popularity flowing around on these... I watched that one on with tank and kimbo this weekend and they did a pretty good job of hyping and working the cage... need good organizations to up the anty on the $$$ .. don't want UFC to dictate too much of it.
I have watched boxing throughout the years and boxed so I can't agree that their beat down is any less than the cage boys...
BTW, nice avy...
