This is a rediculous scenario, Roy Jones would destroy Silva in a Boxing match, just like Silva would destroy Roy in a MMA Bout.

Yea Bad move for anderson! Catch a clue! MMA fighters should have nothing to prove to the boxing world or anybody in the sports world period! They deserve the respect of being put on espn and getting alot more air time in the sports world. These guys are almost all respectable people that should be looked up to for there usally above average characters. I mean just look at how they respect one another in the ring. obviously not all of them do but its nothing like boxing which dont get me wrong i used to love. But know I can barley watch the sport due to so many reasons.Im not here to bag on boxing but im sure most of you have the same feelings as me!

I guess you didn't know that Mayweather has won belts in 4 different wt classes...
Back on topic... I don't know why people just can't live this alone. Two different sports, different sets of rules. Like stated before, Roy would destrou Silva in a boxing match and Silva would destroy Roy in the octagon. There is no debate.

Roy Jones has been more impressive in the ring much longer than Silva has.
Anderson Silva is definatly not the Roy Jones of MMA.
He would be laid out if he boxed him, but it's a way to get in the news.

Roy Jones walks around at around 200lbs so it wasn't a stretch for him to fight at 200+lbs or dropping down to 175lbs. Roy Jones started his career in the mid 160s and as he got older he naturally got heavier. Mayweather walks around at about 150-155lbs so its forseeable for him to fight in the range of 140-160lbs. He's fought up to 155. Anything heavier and he'd get his ass handed to him because he'd be fighting guys who walk around at 180+. If you noticed, Roy fought a lumbering, slow, not especially large or athletic Ruiz. If Jones would have fought Klischtko, McCline or any other large heavyweight he would have been destroyed. I say that as a huge Jones fan, but I'm also a realist.
