leg speed
I'm not a hundred percent sure which forum this would go under but anyways here i go. Anyone here have any suggestions as to any exercises one could do to increase leg speed (i.e low and high kicks etc.) Doing box jumps and doing some crappy speed drills for legs, but just seeing whether i could get some more variety into my workouts

thats simple. incorporate steep hills in your sprint work. thats what our track coach had us doing and we had awesome progress! thats played a huge part in our 100M and 4x100M relay success. its sounds so simple but it is very brutal. but if you do that during the off season you'll see your speed and reaction time increase like a mofo!!!

Something that i do which works well is wear ANKLE WEIGHTS. Try that. Also just work on kicking the bag progressively faster and faster. Work on "snapping" the kick. Pretty much the same way with the jab. Focus on the technique and snap of the punch/kick. Make sure you are pivioting on your rear leg btw, the balance is improved. Idk why but alot of people overlook that pivot. Its VERY important. G'luck

leg weights help alot... first week you'll feel like you can't walk at all. By leg weights i mean when you aren't training. Also... try under water kicking / running. There is no equal :P
