Fights
Anyone have any fights coming up in either muay thai, MMA, BJJ or any of the other full contact sports?
I'm fighting april 26, and I have some first fight jitters. I was supposed to have my first fight a while back but it got cancelled.
just wondering if anyone else gets the jitters and how do they get over it .
also i find myself being restless at night trying to think through a game plan of some sort.
for anyone thats interested the event is called throwdown in o'town, held in ottawa. i would post the link, but im not sure about the rules on that so i wont.
thanks gents.

Wow, look at this... I have a fight on the same day. I am fighting in Japan. 1. 10min round. My background is in Muay Thai, and been learning Judo and BJJ here. (no gi) Judo is by far the #1 sport taught here. And gives you a great BASE. ANyways im headed to Thailand for 2wks before my fight to train a bit more and work on my stamina.
As for fight jitters, almost everyone gets them. Mine come and go. One moment jitters, and the next just pumped and aggresive. Usally about 3-4 days out. I get the late nite restlessness too sometimes... Just relax and talk to yourself about how hard you`re gonna beat this guy down, keep remembering how hard you trained, and how you`re stronger faster smarter than this guy. Thats what i do. BTW im 28yrs,6ft,185lbs... And you. Try postin the link. Should be ok!

I have a MMA match in a few weeks! Don't worry about the butterflies, they go away once you get hit

Back when i was fighting i used to wish i could forget i had a fight coming until 5 minutes before so i wouldnt waste so much energy on being nervous for days. The waiting was always harder than the fight itself!
