Showtime-EliteXC/Shoboxing

What's up everyone... hey I just wanted to see if anyone else has Showtime? I think they are doing an excellent job with the boxing and EliteXC for all the people who dig it... Seems like they know what everyone wants...

EliteXC is putting together some really good fights... some I have seen I was actually more pleased with than the UFC payperview..... I think they can use some new commentators, but the fights have been pretty darn good... they are moving the stakes and it is not costing me $40 a card... This is exactly what the sport needs.... some other real good shows.

The boxing replays are awesome too... almost everynight i get to watch some good fights that I wasn't able to see..

I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this too or is enjoying it the way i am....

i agree there comentary is terrible. i like to see these other productions coming up and being more accessible, but i belive that the ufc should remain on the payperviews. what i like about these other shows is that they give you good quality fights that you dont have to pay $40 a pop. as well as that it puts more pressure on the ufc to put on better shows. i think that it is important for every sport to have a "major legue" so that you when you are watching it you know that you are getting the best in the world at that particulare sport.

lota, yes i agree... but, a different angle would be let the fighters bring a pay perview as oppose to the UFC only... take a look at boxing... there is fighters fighting on showtime, hbo, espn...then when a big fight card is out then let's charge... I see that a better option as oppose to just saying any ufc should be pay perview... like i said earlier, elite put together some cards that were better then a lot of ones that I paid on pay perview.... it use to be that you had to pay just to watch cage fighting and that is what ufc started... but now there is more available so i don't necessarily want them calling it all... or i should say if they want to call the shots with pay perview... they need to put together superfight cards....

i think that with the pressure that the other promotions are putting on they are going to have to goto the "super fight cards" which would be great. the only problem is that we have to wait on the sport to b/c even more mainstream, so that they can pay the fighters what they deserve, and put them all on one card. they got to make there money first and the bigger the names on the card the bigger the purses and the bigger the purses the more ppv/tickets you have to sale. all of these things are coming around the corner and other big productions like elite xc are making it possible.
