To be the best in the world you need to fight Fedor
I cant help it when people put titles on fighters, i am not taking away anything from Anderson Silva but i mean where is Fedor in all of this?
He is the best fighter in the world, i dont consider is loss a real lost, he got cut and the fight was stopped.
And a part from a lucky punch from Kazuyuki Fujita that was the first time i ever saw Fedor in trouble.
I really wish people would give this great fighter is due, he is the best in the world right now, not Randy Couture, Kimbo LOL, Nog, Cro Cop not even Anderson Silva.

I agree with you there needs to be on chamption and not one in each fourm, but that will never happen because they are all making a sh** load of mony right now. Lets take all the champs from pride, wec, ufc, king of the cage, and ect... and let them fight it out......good thread

That would obviously be ideal but you have take the current situation for what its worth. The UFC is into hyping their own and selling PPV's not actually promoting a fighter in another organization. That being said Silva is an amazing talent and most people could in all honesty make a strong case for him or Fedor with Penn and GSP not that far behind

I would agree but Fedor could get a huge contract with UFC and he would be able to fight the best talents in the world. I really do not think he is as good as everyone says. Silva is so much better than anyone right now it is not even funny.

He wasn't really dominating Cote last night.

This is why there are weight classes...
So that these ridiculous fights dont take place...
AS is #1 at 185 and close to the top of 205, and Fedor rules HW...
End of story...

I think there is no real reason why AS could not meet Fedor at the 205.
We know AS is a MW fighter that cuts a lot anyway.
Fedor is definatly able to cut to 205, he's real soft looking at 220 when he fights HW.
Case solved.

Yeah except that Fedor is in Affliction and AS is in the UFC.
And that AS wants to retire within a year.
And that Fedor has weighed in at 238 before.
Besides that, yeah no problem...

Fedor normally is around 230.
He's only 6' tall and the guy is a great fighter, but he's not really sherk or randleman. He could definatly shed some wieght if he had too.
I think they could both make 205 but we'll never see this fight. I don't think we'll ever even see fedor fight with the UFC which is kind of a shame it will be what people hold against him forever (not fighting the best in the ufc).

At the end of the day there really is nothing wrong with not having these guys fight. For one it just does not make sense. Weight classes are there for a reason. Second, it leaves this type of stuff open for debate which is always interesting. I just think that Fedor is at a different level than everyone else. Anderson also hurt his standing by that last shitty performance.
