Thiago Silva vs. Lyoto Machida
I dont know about anyone else but i have been waiting for this fight to get set up again after i believe it was Thiago Silva that got injured. I see Silva taking this one and i hope by knockout cause i cant stand watching Machida running around the damn ring the whole fight.

Machida is most definately talented but so hard to watch. Some may be offended by this and say it the "typical" UFC dirt bag fan that same one that boos at ground fighting but I honestly do not like watching him fight. Chuck made counter striking cool to watch but Machida makes it so boring!

Dont know what happened to Machida he used to be exiting, now whats up with that running away thing.
Is fight against Tito even got Tito mad running after him like he did.

The funny thing is that the Tito fight was his most aggressive fight in the UFC!

Oh come on!
Dont turn this into a Tito shittalking thread bro...
Hes had many amazing fights in the UFC.
vs. Frank, vs. Ken I, vs. Vitor, vs. Forrest. All good fights...

No one is talking shit about Teets. He had his day and was amazing. I just don't think he is viable any more. He beats no one in the top 15 these days. To many injuries but he had a run at 205 similar to that of Chuckles and Wandy.

I hope they meet in the middle and slug it out.
Won't happen though.
Go Thiago ... ATT !

I'm pretty excited, we just bought our tickets for UFC 94 last week. Hoping this is a good fight, I'm a fan of both. I got Lyoto by UD. If Lyoto does win then I think he definetly deserves a title shot.

Hes had more title defenses than anyone else at 205.
And just for the record, he beat Rashad! If the point had not of been taken away from him, he would have won on all the judges score cards.
I think if he decides to turn on the switch, he can be a true force again in the 205 division.
The only problem is, he seems like he'd rather be a movie star...

The only three fights that I would even care to seem him involved in would be Babalu, Lil Nog, and Arona. I see him taking the Babalu fight and getting crushed in the other two

Why do so many people love Babs? He did have the incredible run in the IFC tourney but other than that he has been nothing special. He usually beats the ones he should and consistently loses to the ones that are better than him. Tito still falls into that category and every thing that Babs does, Tito does much better. Here is to hoping Tito gets his next fight and finishes it on the feet!

Babalu's BJJ is better no doubt.
Tito's Wrestling is much better.
And his standup is much better as well. He stood with Chuck much better than Babs did.

Babs is tough but it never ceases to amaze me how much love he gets. He has consistently faught a much lower caliber of fighters than Tito and has never had a run like Tito did early in his career. Tito has solid stand up but tends to be a little cautious, I think that he might let go with Babs and go for the KO. Would be a very intersting fight. I would also love to see Tito fight Lil Nog and Arona before its all over. I see him losing both but no doubt those would be great fights

I agree... Arona vs Tito would be a nice matchup for Arona. Id like to see him back on the winning track.
He will be back in 09', thats for sure...

I wouldn't mind a page vs arona rematch. As long as Page is still a free man.

Arona vs Lindland would be another great fight in my mind. I know that Lindland is viewed as boring but he is a hell of a fighter. How about Machida vs. Arona ?
-

I think Arona would maul Machida.
If anyone is gonna take him down and keep him there, its Ricardo.

Then lets hope for that. It would be great to get Arona in the mix but unfortunately I don't think he falls into what Dana wants. He is to dangerous and will beat a lot of the top draws

as mostly everyone else says from what ive been readin michida is bad to watch the only reason tito lost the last fight was cause he had enough and atleast try to make an entertaining fight out of it lost the fight but in my eyes was a man and took one for the team to be entertaining

^^^nope. tito got owned. out wrestled and out struck. Machida amy be boring but he won that fight no doubt
-
12-28-2008, 10:49 PM #28
He did... But i dont know if out wrestled is the right word...
I think Machida only scored one takedown if i remember...

okay but to say the least Machida negated Tito's percieved wrestling advantage. I think Machida is tough but his fighting style makes him VERY tough. He only engages when he wants and has excellent footwork that keeps him out of trouble. At this point I think the toughest fight of his career has been BJ Penn
