Saw it on ppv but also tuned in to watch last night. Forgot about how Diaz got robbed and how dominating Machida was. BJ is so damn good he looks impressive while he is quitting.

Was it just me or did Diaz do enough to win that fight? I am not a fan but he is tough as nails

Guida kept that frantic pace he always does and I guess that looks to some judges like he's doing a lot, but I thought Diaz stayed remarkably well composed and fought a sensible fight. I'll look forward to seeing more of Jones.

Diaz was never really in control, it was a good fight by Clay and Diaz but Clay was always the more aggressive and in more of the dominate positions. If he was 2 inches taller he could have sunk a few RNC when he had diaz's back all those times. At least from what I remember of the fight....LOL

Guida did seem to get the best of the scrambles but it was Diaz that was taking more chances with reversals and I thought he dominated the stand up. Great fight either way. I hope we see a lot of them in the near future

If I remember correctly Guida is Sanchez's next opponent. Very similar fighters but I think Diego's stand-up is so much better

Diaz needed to control the fight more with his jab. He gave up his strengths too quickly and then let Guida fight his fight. That said, I've always been a Guida fan. Yes, Jones looked dominating and I'm looking forward to seeing him in the future.

Guida on paper has the better wrestling and I would give him the slight advantage in that dept but not in overall grappling. Stand up the advantage goes to deigo like you said. Conditioning is pretty even also. I see deigo taking the decision. It pains me to say that tho, something about that guy bugs the shit out of me.

mn_fighter, you bring up something I've always wondered about. I don't know any of them personally and really don't know much about them, but there are fighters that I always root for and others I always hope will lose. I wonder if it's a subconscience thing?

Diaz can be hard to like as well but both are great fighters. That fight between those two was an absolute war.

Jones is the most overrated fighter at 205 right now. Much the way Anthony Johnson is at 170.

Both are lacking on the ground, AJ has been exposed already, and Jones soon will be.

Anthony Johnson is an impressive athlete but I do hear you. I don't agree with Jones though. I think there is to much hype after beating a so so Bonner but he is a JC wrestler so he at least is comfortable on the ground. 205 is stacked with brawlers as opposed to great sub guys like 185. I don't think he will make a ton of noise but I think his ground game is strong enough to keep him from looking like Houston.

I think hes more versitile than Houston, but not that great at standup. His wrestling is so so.

He cant hang with guys in the top 15 in the UFC imo.

I think Bader will out wrestle him, Vinicuis would sub him, Vera would KO him. Hamill would LnP him, Thiago would KO or Sub him. Luiz Cane would KO him. Wandy would beat him. I mean the list goes on and on.

Those guys arent even top ten. Expect maybe Cane.

I agree but that doesn't mean I like to hear it. I sure hope he puts on a good show with Rich.
