st.pierre imo. I have seen Thaigo start flatt against some fighters and that is just something you dont want to do against gsp. However I do give the striking advantage to thaigo. I just seen a good hard fought dec in gsp's favor.

Man the Pit Bull is on a tear as of late. Georges I think is getting complacent. I take Thiago in this one. In a re-match though, I'd take Georges.

    I'm going with GSP.

I think Alves may be the biggest 170lbs person I've ever seen. If I saw him on the street I'd think he was well over 200lbs. He probably walks around at 190lbs though.

Hmmm this is a tough one. Im going to have to go GSP on this one. Hope he doesnt try to play hero and stand up tho. He needs to go straight for the takedown as soon as he can. If he tries to stand(which i doubt he will do here) he will get kocked out. But im sure his game plan will be to go to the ground and pound Thiago. Going to be a sick fight tho i think. I cant wait

Great match up, one of the best in a while. I think this one could go either way, hope its a ****ing bad ass fight, we deserve a good one. If I had to pick I would agree with MN on this one, but you never know.

I would give my pinky finger to look like thiago alves ,me and him are built exactly the same naturally ,almost the same height(iam one inch taller) and same weight , only hes way more cut then me .
O and I walk around at 219 ,220 so he is gigantic at that weight ,he definlitly walks around over 200 ,maybe 210 ,215

I want to stand next to him and GSP, met hughes once back in the day and he was pretty big. Its tought to tell exactly how big they are on TV though, it does make you look a litlle bigger. Im 5'7" between 205-210 , I swear these guys lye about how tall they are, because they look thick for 5'10 190.

fights fitch? if thats the case fitch has a better shot at getting another title match if gsp looses ,cause he already beat alves ,and if gsp wins, he will probaly get antoher one if he keeps winning ,but not for a while cause gsp beat him pretty convinceingly

I dont think Fitch has a chance with GSP thats for sure. If Thiago beats GSP i doubt he will be able to beat him either. GSP whooped his ass way too easy. Fitch is one of my faves but he took a terrible beating in that fight . I dunno how that wasnt stopped a few times when he got rocked nasty style. I know alot of other refs that would freak out and that fight would of ended in the 2nd round for sure. Maybe in a year or 2 Fitch can try again

the only thing that worries me about the whole thing is how thiago is so nervous about this fight. You can even tell in the initial face off after gsp beat penn, and thiago was so scared he actually said he's looking forward to a "shitle tot." Alves's got what it takes, but I think he will pull a gsp vs. hughes 1 where gsp was able physically but not mentally.

I think Alves looks like a body builder, but honestly, I think GSP is the stronger of the 2 fighters.

GSP is a normal skilled fighter that works his tail off and is the most athletic and strong fighter in his class.

He comes in with decent game plans, but his merrits are won from hard work and athletic ability.

Alves is good, but GSP has him beat in about every area. That means nothing in this fight though, anything can happen but the numbers lean toward GSP.

Very true. He's an animal, has great overall core strength, big legs.

By getting FItch'd i was referring to the fact that the winner gets relegated to prelim fights and recieves no respect even thought they are still top 5 in the world!
